Well, I own all 28(?) of them, and there are differences between the Japanese/US release of a number of them, so even if you were doing one a day, you'd still have a LOT of watching to do.

I do plan on watching the 1954 original relatively soon before seeing the film though.

And yes, figuring out a schedule would be tough with all those movies. Just an idea, though.

Could make a community thing for this. Set a number of movies to stream between now and release date, make some polls to pick the preferred films from each era, and rock it out from there. That way people only have to watch (just for example) Godzilla vs Megalon if they wanna give something the MST3K treatment

Wanted to drop in that I'm pretty much going in blind on any news for the film now that there's only a month left, and there're things leaking out in various forms.

That being said, I'm not sure if many of you know that Yoshimitsu Banno is co-producing the current film. There're lots of mixed opinions over his Godzilla film: Godzilla Vs. Hedorah AKA Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster but I wanted to point out that Hedorah is pretty terrifying on a human level - much moreso than a lot of the other monsters:

That along with Edwards, and the bits about Man Vs. Nature might give you a little something of what to expect without actually addressing any of the serious damage from a kaiju attack. Also might be one worth watching for those interested.
