Was it the whole game you hated, or just the ending, TTM?
Gameplay was best in the XIII series, story was garbage (and did nothing to resolve unnecessary inconsistencies and opacities in the mythos, such as this crap). I did like the bits with Snow and Noel; one scene with Fang and Vanille; and some of the stuff with Hope toward the end.

Bhunivelze's look and (Japanese) voice were cool too.

Entirely agreed, except for Bhunivelze's look, he reminded me way too much of Orphan.

I liked Bhunivelze's look; especially the way he was one with the battleground. Was sort of trippy. And I like how he starts off confident and ends up becoming enraged as the fight wears on.

Played the ending.(not + ending.) Not as annoying as I thought, although

it's still very closely modelled on the ending of 13-1. One thing, though... Why is Hope's soul inside Bhuni? Isn't it a major plot point that he has no power over souls?

Bhuni unwittingly swallowed Hope's soul, which is apparently something that made him vulnerable. Probably during the process where he took over Hope's body. He says he doesn't know where Hope's soul is.

I think I'm the only person I know that thoroughly enjoyed the ending. I cried *shrug*

@Lex, I liked the ending, I mean come on, it's
a relatively happy ending, and they needed that. And I also enjoyed the plot focus with Hope and Bhuni in Lightning Returns, even though it puzzled me at first (just what was going on and why/how).

So, it was complete coincidence that
he took on Hope's appearance and mannerisms, then? Seems like a stretch.

Um, no lol.
Bhuni specifically carved out Hope and took over his body in order to observe and pretty much influence Lightning. In the process of doing this, he swallowed his soul without knowing, which made him weak because emotions and things he doesn't understand etc.

Yes, these are all things I enjoyed about it too. I didn't have a problem with LR at all really. I understood the pressure of the clock being there, but once you realised there's a shitload of time to spare it becomes less stressful.

It was always amazing to me how bent out of shape people got about the time thing. These aren't the Nintendo-hard days. Developers bend over backwards to make sure you see everything in their games. I never had any doubt that there would be more than enough time to see everything.

I actually had fun with the clock, it gives you a lot more time to do things than you initially think. Plus, it's realistic. Also, it's given me plenty of quests to do and complete for the first time on my second playthrough, as I missed several. :monster:

I'm a pretty bad gamer, but got through my first run comfortably by Day 10.

@Lex
Fair Enough. Seems like if Souls were linked that closely to the body, they wouldn't be such a mystery to Bhuni, but anyway.

I might like the ending more if it wasn't such a complete retread of 13-1

For me, this game is like eating unhealthy food, I shouldn't be eating McDonalds since I forever dropped it, but certain bites are soo good.

The overall package is awful but the minor bits(Snow) I really enjoy.
