Yeah I agree. It's just that the narrative for some people is : She saw OG visions so it's not Aerith from Remake/Rebirth, it's the one who love Cloud fully and doesn't really care about Zack.
I think it's a mistake to read it like that but well.

- he's referring to the OG scene where Marlene teases Cloud on Aerith's it was indeed in ultimania - In OG it was used to put a signal on player to let them know that "Aerith seems to like Cloud" or She likes him. but its the same point of perception eyes of 4 year old / child ( the fact they used a 'child' to let it know ) that even an adult one is having the hard time to figure out. Its vague for me - which C/A in OG always have .. even in disc one..
- For me its a symbolism that Aerith's has a child-like-personality whom would 'like' this guy who reminds her of ex bf.
- the same point I have with above - Aerith ( i dont know future or past one sorry) unknownly shared this 'vision' to marlene where she's still confused if she really 'like Cloud' or just 'like him because of Zack ( it was aerith herself ) so having another point of view on her feelings is even more confusing not to mention a 4 year old child.

- i honestly read that book 'Maiden who travels the planet' when I was 19 y/o - ultimately regret sooo much reading that I was a Aerith hater back then cuz I never understood her in OG I admit - a year after that in 2007 crisis core release
open up my eyes on her POV and I'm a bit of an adult back then hence I understand her confusion but Rebirth brough back that annoyance a 'bit'
- those who believe that are the ones who mischaracterized Zack's soo bad he sooo badly taken there.

- exactly! So again a POV of a 4 year old when even the adult itself is confused is questionable right? In OG that's my point -- soo I'm going to believe the point of view and 'insticts of a woman' of a 'child'-- but ultimania's point there is she like him based on his persona ( Zack ) surface --
Just like how a child is pointing Aerith likes Cloud - she never understood fully the 'terms' of like / love - but just teasing him oh she likes him (persona -Cloud -ZACK ) .. but not beyond the surface ( persona w/c REAL CLOUD)

I was talking about the dialogue change in english that paint Aerith and Tifa in a bad way.
I actually liked this segment. It is so sweet when they both find the lost Aerith. It helps so much to understand Aerith, how she's been lonely all of her life and why Zack and then Cloud & company mean so much to her. And why she wants to do everything to protect them.

Zack is a very good person, but this idea that he’s just gonna step aside the moment five year-old tells him his girlfriend likes his best friend is… funny, I guess.
No normal person is gonna hear and that and be like “Oh, well… they’re good for each other.” Zack, at the end of the day, will probably still resent Cloud just a little over it, but he would still genuinely want them both to be happy. (Which is why I think this is all gonna pay-off in his favor in Part 3).

That's kinda already adressed with him choosing to go to Shinra HQ to seek help for Cloud. That's why we see the conversation with Marlene at this very moment.
They've pushed really hard to show the good sides of Zack. They denied the accusations of womanizer and all this Marlene scene is here to show that he will always push Aerith well-being first. I think they want to do their best to appease the Clerith. Even though we know it's pointless, they'll hate Zack no matter what.

Could someone give your opinion on the dream date between Cloud and Aerith? It's quite confusing regarding Cloud's attitude. He suddenly seems to enjoy it, sometimes even taking the initiative (couple photo scene); it contradicts Cloud's attitude towards Aerith in previous chapters. Could it be that there is some subconscious feeling within Cloud directed towards Aerith? if he truly loves Tifa, these actions and attitudes undermine the character's personality IMO. Many ppl say about the possibility of having feelings for two girls at once. But in reality, it just shows that he's a genuine red flag.

Considering that the more extreme CAs think that Zack's a war criminal, I honestly doubt there's any appeasing of them on his character.
I think that's a perfectly normal reaction considering Zack's been hauling, protecting and taking care of Cloud across a continent while trying to get back to his Totally Not Serious Girlfriend™. Never mind dying while doing it (which this Zack doesn't know, tbf). So being a bit resentful is normal even if he ultimately comes to the conclusion that he wants the people he loves to be happy. Zack also seems like the kind of character who'd be like "I'll just win her back!" and make it a honourable fight with Cloud, lol. If it came to that, I mean.

That answer is simple. It does not contradict how Cloud is with Aerith in previous chapters. He is caring of her in other chapters.

Yeah, my Zerith expectations are through the roof. They better LEAN IN to that in part 3.
It's funny, I'd been anticipating Rebirth all this time thinking it would have a great Zerith reunion/expansion and just give Cloti a lot of angst and anticipation for LS and Under the Highwind. But now Zerith ended up with the angsty unfinished setup and Cloti got the very developed, satisfying expansion. I got what I wanted, just not from the couple I expected.

It’s not confusing at all, Aerith tells him to go with it and he does. He doesn’t do anything that undermines his feelings for Tifa or anything. He just shows that he cares for Aerith and will let her have this moment

Honestly I’m so surprised with the amount of Cloud Tifa and Rebirth
Really just makes me think that the most important scene in the lifestream is gonna be the reveal of Clouds feelings for her and how he did everything for her but have way more focus on it then the OG did

I expect it to be longer for sure. It’ll probably take up a whole chapter.
We’ll be controlling Tifa too. And I think they’re adding new memories too because we see Stargazer Heights.
I’m looking forward to when Tifa finds Cloud at the train station, although… I think that actually is a flashback at the Northern Cave? I can’t remember.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't. In AC, we get to see Zack and Aerith together in some capacity. It wouldn't make any sense to see how that came about.

Again the issue with the Marlene thing is.. Marlene says Aerith likes Cloud yes, but then Aerith herself confirms to Cloud himself after this that she likes him but isn't sure what kind of like that is. So what Marlene says is correct but how does she know if it's a romantic like if Aerith herself doesn't even know if it's a romantic like?
It's bait for Zerith angst and because the player will obviously read into it romantically

Here it is in English for anyone curious. Basically, Marlene is nosy lol. She's intelligent for her age, so she can pick up on things and is more perceptive than your average 4 year old, but that doesn't necessarily mean she understands the nuance or complexities of the situations that she's picking up on.
Precocious is a very important word here.
