I guess, the imagery they have in their minds is of him swooping down on Aerith and impaling her w/ his long sword.

Do you think that Sephiroth is umh....How to say...compensating for something with that large Masamune Sword?

Even supposing that people in Wutai must look Asian since their architecture looks Asian, what about Tifa's appearance is Asian aside from her black hair? Are we meant to assume that every character with straight black hair is automatically from Wutai?

Same. They look anime to me. Change the dub language and they look the same. Tifa isn't more or less anything with Ayumi or Britt's voice.

I agree with you! I'm pretty deep into the Cloti ship, but I wouldn't say there are no special moments between Cloud and Aerith. They have a special relationship and I don't think that should be ignored. Aerith means a lot to him (I might personally say not as much as Tifa, but that's my opinion) and Remake took time to specifically show that. I don't personally think Cloud has romantic feelings for Aerith, but he does have caring feelings for her, and protective feelings.

There are a lot of differences between the OG and the Remake especially when it comes to Tifa and Cloud relationship.

An example would be as follows:

I wonder in the future of the Remake, if they will show Cloud collapsed at the Section 7 train station Mako poisoned and out of his mind and just by happenstance Tifa walking by on that faithful day and saw Cloud sitting there. After not seeing him for 7 years (from her point of view) could you imagine what went through her mind at that point when she saw him? It probably would have broken her heart to see her childhood "Hero" in the condition he was in. I know that In the OG we find out much later that it was Tifa who found him and watched over him a bit so that he can somewhat recover.

However, in direct contrast and the curious thing about this is the way the Remake established things in CH3, when Cloud returned back from the first bombing. It seemed to us that was the first time they met in 5 years (from his point of view). Also, Tifa had an apartment already set up for him (next to hers btw) when he returned from the mission. The only real hint about how long it has been since they last meet was when Cloud gives TIfa the flower, and Tifa gave a verbal "huh" after Cloud says it has been 5 years.

I wonder how they are going to resolve this in the Remake?

In the main digest, the pic shows Cloud watching her while she blames herself for the plate falling. "It's all our fault."

She's clearly distraught over people getting hurt. And in her Resolution scene, the text reads: She is unable to control her sadness while talking to Cloud.

As awkward as he was, he seriously helped her get through her sadness, at a moment she needed him most, so that she could find her resolve to continue her fight with Shinra and save Aerith. This guy's a keeper. If only he didn't have serious mental issues.

And the Aerith screencap is actually of her saying the, "It's frustrating, but I'm happy" line, not don't fall in love with me. I was mistaken.

The text under the first pic: Although she was captured by Shinra, Aerith somehow appears before him. She wants to tell him something, but...

So does this mean Aerith never actually went through with telling Cloud?

I mean, I could stand to see a bit more. Final Fantasy VII (and its remake) aren’t the sort of games where you’d expect that, though.

(I think the term to be used here is head canon?) The only problem with that is if Zack and Cloud made it back to Midgar, I am sure as shit that he will search out Aerith. Perhaps after Zach told him that he was going to go look for girlfriend. That could have sparked Cloud to go find his Childhood friend in Sector 7. He got to the train station and just couldn't move afterwards. Then along comes Tifa. I guess problem solved? Yeah?

Well there's a lot of time between when Tifa finds Cloud and when he goes on his first Avalanche mission.

The original showed a lot of that. [Made more apparent by the fact that Cloud and Tifa weren't all that close in the beginning.] However, in the remake, Cloud and Tifa are getting closer/more intimate from the start.

So I guess they realize it got toned down/removed. Also mentioned was the scene where Jessie got injured and Cloud lifted her up and carried her in his arms. Tifa was more concerned about Jessie's well-being than the fact that Cloud was concerned about another girl. She's freaking sweet!

Just saying that they're all talking and discussing about the same stuff we do here, except now that I've been around YT enough, I believe most people agree High Affection HW scene is the real one, and are disappointed that there won't be more than a kiss between them due to ratings/censorship.

Hopefully, there are a lot less Japanese fans that try to downplay Tifa as being just a friend for Cloud that Cloud was never once into.

I ran across one of those on Twitch today and he deliberately tried to misquote things and anytime I showed him official statements and corrected him, he'd ignore it and then went straight for Ad Hominems and then ran away.

Ah, Sure! If she did found him when he was still out of himself I'm pretty sure she would have tended him. But it's exactly that part that I'm not so sure? Did she found him when he was still in his 'bad state' or meeting her was what made his fake persona to kinda 'activate'?

Do you mean in the Remake? If so, I believe it didn't take that long for the moment they met to when Cloud goes to his first mission since, once he comes back, Tifa finds a place for him to stay and talks about how he came to there with nothing, so it seems to be a recent event. He didn't even know where she lived in the first place and Barret also mentions Seventh Heaven as "you know? The place Tifa works!" so he doesn't seem to be familiar with SH either.
