I like that reading of it because I was always confused if it was supposed to be Cloud or Zack doing this. Cloud or Zack rummaging through her panties always seemed OOC for both of them.

But with this reading, then we'd also have to wonder how intimately familiar Cloud is with TIfa before they ever banged. Does he get flashes of her naked or vomiting for instance? We open up a whole can of worms here.

Well...the apparently the canon explanation for that sexy cowgirl costume is that she was expecting Cloud to show up at Nibelheim so she was trying to look sexy for him. It was more of a special occasion than every day wear.

Thank you, that was very informative! I actually like the idea of Tifa having something "more mature" underwear (lacey panties maybe?). It's... pretty telling.. like she was counting on certain someone seeing them.

And I agree, Cloud knowing Tifa's secrets by alien mind-reading magic it's better than Cloud being a run-of-the-mill anime perv. At least for Cloud's image, Tifa's privacy is compromised either way. Poor Tifa.

It was my headcanon too. I guess she didn't change to more appropiate clothes because teenagers aren't known by their good judegement.
