The panic in the voice acting there is why that's one of my favorite lines in the film. Really well done in both languages. Altogether convincing.
You guys are right! I couldn't detect any sadness, though, more like panic and then some anger when he says "Who did this?" What I said still stands, though.
Quexi said:It's true. They never went on a date
All they did was share mutual feelings for one another, Cloud LIVES with Tifa and raises a FAMILY with her. He adopts a kid with her. He says he can start a new life now that Tifa is with him. But how can THAT compare to ONE DATE?
someone said:In Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children/Advent Children Complete, it is shown that death means nothing. Aerith is still very much a part of Cloud's life. They interact with one another in the movie, speaking and even touching. And, in the end, Aerith remains a part of Cloud's life as shown in the bonus videos "Calling" and "Safe and Sound". The creators themselves have even confirmed just how deeply bonded Cloud and Aerith are: From Distance, the directors' Advent Children commentary:
Nomura: "The words 'memetic legacy' are used a lot in the film but in AC, rather than focusing on memories we wanted to show that consciousness is what lives on. We took the ending of the game and expanded on that idea. Even if they're dead their consciousness is still with us. As for Cloud... he sees Aerith several times throughout the film. It's not that he sees her because he feels her presence. He sees her because her consciousness lives on inside him."
This quote explains why only Cloud can see, hear, and touch Aerith. For Cloud, who is so closed-off around others, sharing a soul bond like this must be a very intimate one indeed. Cloud can now roam freely around Gaia with Aerith by his side always. So, truly, this argument should not even be used anymore. S-E has already shown that, in the world of Final Fantasy, death isn't really a problem for Cloud and Aerith. Aerith lives on in Cloud's very soul. Aerith may have lost her body, but she and Cloud will never be apart.
Because he doesn't need to to be with Aerith, she lives in his soul n all that. Why didn't Cloud just kill himself?
I love how the speech he gives before this about all dead ones living on inside of one another and all dead ones in the lifestream never come sup.Nomura: "The words 'memetic legacy' are used a lot in the film but in AC, rather than focusing on memories we wanted to show that consciousness is what lives on. There's a line right there in the quote that says, "Even if they're dead their consciousness is still with us."I love how the speech he gives before this about all dead ones living on inside of one another and all dead ones in the lifestream never come sup.
Didn't they say in some interview just the opposite? Something about how they wanted death to feel like it does in the real world -- a sudden, horrible loss?
Nope, see the sentence was all about Aerith up to that point, another contradiction! There's a line right there in the quote that says, "Even if they're dead their consciousness is still with us."

Wtf is a soul bond
and where are Aeris and Cloud stated to have one?
Why are these fuckers making shit up again?

It's the beautiful love story they crafted for Cloud and Aerith while lying in bed at night hugging their pillows.

It's interesting... they also have a topic on what if they was an FFVII remake and the majority of them are against it... but the reason why is what's telling. They don't want Square to release it and make it very Cloti or add a Cloti make out scene... (one of them said 'since they're playing the please both sides game')
I ask you, if you're SO SURE that Clerith is the intended couple, why would you be worried that there would be a Cloti make out scene?
Oh I know, and I agree, in fact an FFVII remake could very well be the final nail in the Clerith coffin... But you know, chances are they'd just... see it as Clerith again anyway, I mean they saw it in everything else, but if it did to the other, at least we'd have massive lulzI think I brought this up some time back. But just think of it. More Zack. Possibly even Z/A flashbacks. A clearer picture that Cloud was NOT himself in the first part of the game. Clearer interactions between C/T in the later part of the game. Including the HW scene.
A lot of those stories are also just made up in order to get attention from other Clerises/demonize the other side + have something to talk about in super sekret venting forumsI've heard it so many times that they're been ridiculed and picked on and stalked online and CxA is the only place they can go to be safe.
