It actually is a really awesome movie. Still think it has possibly the most memorable opening sequence -- the gas station shenanigans -- of any movie I've seen.

I've known a woman who said this. And that she was scared at first but ended up loving it. Needless to say, I was skeptical.

Oh, hell yes! xD Akiza had won my heart over very quickly. I think it's safe enough now to call her my favorite female. Before it was Kisara and Mai... I also like Serenity (minor characters ftw). Akiza is hands down the prettiest, that's for sure, and I WANT to own her outfit. It's so damn cute. x]

You know. One thing that has been irking me for ...oh the past 10 or so min. After reading some pinker essays I keep seeing how Tifa's jealous feelings are somehow proof for anything other than Tifa gets jealous.

For example.
So seeing Cloud and Aerith grow closer and closer causes Tifa a great deal of discomfort. Cloud and Aerith are literally building their own special world together, and there’s nothing Tifa can do stop it. Since Tifa’s jealousy has grown to the point that she so rudely blurts out her "peevish feelings", then it's quite logical that Cloud and Aerith must have been displaying romantic interest in each other all along.

Now someone answer me how Cloud and Aerith can be developing a mutual romantic bond at this point in the story? Up to going to rescue her 90% of C/A interaction has involved Cloud trying to get away from her or going after Tifa.

And Cloud is officially unaware Aerith (or Tifa) has any romantic interest in him. And there is that little thing about Cloud's feelings for Aerith never being described as romantic. Ever.

Of course Aerith never gets jealous of Tifa. And you know what that means......

That one in particular hit me hard. Doesn't *everyone* arrive in that flower field? That guess Aeris is a slut then, and into orgies.

Oh yeah, and Terra is there too. So Aeris is a lesbian after all, but not for Tifa. New OTP - Terris. :monster:

In my opinion, the reason Aerith makes frequent appearances in other games and merchandise is because she's iconic. She's strongly associated with FF7, and she's a character a lot of fans want to see more of because their time with her was cut short, for obvious reasons. And Cloud is there because, well, he's the main character and stuff. :monster: If we jump to the conclusion that Cloud and Aerith are a couple because their faces appear on the cover of a disc, then I think we're giving far too much importance to the LTD. I doubt such a thought even crossed the mind of whoever designed said disc art.

actually I didn't even read it. Also, Square never said the church was Cloud's promised land. It said "The place where Cloud awakens is his promised land" (in Advent Children) and then goes on to explain that it's because his family and friends were there. Cleriths tend to ignore the entire article after "The place where Cloud awakens is his promised land"

They ignore the context of a whole lot of things. They're still ignoring what's actually said on that scan, and just looking at the two pictures and giving them equal weight.
