Don't you understand Tres? IF CloTi was canon they would have had a full page about it in the 10th Anniversary Ultimania. With comments from Nojima, Nomura, and Kitase.

And then they would have put a love scene in AC/C.

But since they didn't do those things then it is obviously open to interpretation. Because of all the vagueness and contradictions.
