From what I could see, what started oglop claiming that was him unable or refusing to believe Vendel that Marlene isn't Barret's biological daughter, that Cloud beat up Aerith in the game, and I think that it was four years between the end of the game and CoD. After that, it pretty much looks like oglop keeps playing the "have you played it yet" game to avoid actually countering anything that Vendel brings up.

It's interesting that she grabs his shoulder on the bike, actually. Generally, you grab the torso for more stability. Touching the shoulder there is odd and out of place for just 'riding on the bike'
