Is that "sex does not equal love" thing the official Clerith response now?

How arguments change. It wasn't that long ago that having sex used to be one of the Clerith conditions for Cloud and Tifa being in love.

Indeed. Anastar's own argument was that if Cloud and Tifa had sex, then they would be the canon couple.

You guys see why I'm done debating this matter? The proof speaks for itself at this point, and anyone who is still arguing with it is simply not willing to be convinced.

They are only arguing with themselves and have been for a long time.

I still really can't buy that they had sex. It just seems so out of character and stupid. I mean yes, Cloud loves her and shit but would they REALLY have sex outside under an airship? It just doesn't seem legit to me. I still think it was just a passing joke from the creators, i don't think they actually fucked. also i am obscenely hungover and made this post FROM MY PHONE. it was surprisingly difficult. You better thank this post. :monster:

I bet I can guess their argument if the Ultimania ever said Cloud and Tifa got married "But not everyone that gets married is in love, some people get married for no reason and look at the divorce rate, Cloud and Tifa would definitely get divorce within a year cause you know they had a lot of problems in AC"

You know, I agree with you. I really love that Japanese sentence saying that Cloud confirmed that their feelings match. Having two naked bodies in my head while reading it ruins all the beauty for me. ( I posted the same thing in the Cloti forum since I just reject the idea.)

Btw, who post those Fang X Vanille pics. GIVE ME MOOOOOOOOORE!

Already been said, by Angelalex, I believe.

You guys tell me: A couple in love have possibly but one night left together on earth. What do they do? Be honest.

On top of that:
Why is the scene being called risqué and extreme?
What is the purpose of the alternative more blatantly obvious depiction?
Why is Tifa so embarrassed?
Why the difference between "You were listening?" vs. "You were watchting?"
How do you express romantic love without words?

What kills me is that they are actually arguing they confirmed feelings of friendship--with sex. I'm sorry, bwuah? Is this a standard practice I am unaware of? I don't fuck my friends as a way of confirming friendship--I'm sure I'd be a helluva lot more popular, but last I knew, sex was an ideal way to confirm emotions such as looooooove.

By their own standards Cloud could have fucked Aerith on the Gondola and not given two shits about her after...

Oh, God, Zack's "We're friends, right?" line just took on whole new meaning.

Debate over, fuckers. Clack is canon.

Calm down. It just seems a little out of character for Tifa and Cloud, IMO. As for me, kissing and hugging are enough to express romantic love without words. But If they did have sex, I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't think Fighter is riled, but genuinely befuddled over the reluctance of "sex" being had. How is it out of character?

The same male character had hot-tub innuendo conversations with a bunch of guys, dressed as a woman, broke into a brothel, almost made out with the Don... wait, I see how it's OOC. Tifa's a chick. Gotchya. :awesome:

I'm not angry at you. I just don't see how those alternative theories could fit organically within all the variables I mentioned.

Does it honestly matter if Cloud and Tifa did have sex? I mean, certainly, it adds to their relationship, but either way, they expressed that they loved each other. I think that's the most important thing from their little passage.

More trannies, folks

I call foul. Those were not the trannies I expected or wanted.

Agreed. It's obvious now they confirmed how they felt about each other, but I'm not sure about sex either. If they confirmed their love and had sex then it wouldn't line up with CoT IMO, where yes they raise a family together. I just think that confessing love and having sex is a bit more lovey-dovey than CoT (and Cloti as a whole) is usually shown.

If there was sex involved, it would be a Fighter said, "our last night alive" sort of thing. They're probably not got survive the final battle, so why not?

Something else now. Sex or not, we know they confirmed their feelings, check....why is this never brought up in CoT? At the very least they confirmed how they felt about each other, at the most Cloud had Tifa bent over a rock with her clawing for a handhold. :monster: So whatever happened that night, it was obviously significant to their relationship. So why no mention in CoT? I would expect something like "Did you mean what you told me back then?" Or when Tifa talks to him while he's asleep, "Do you love me? Or did that night not mean anything to you...", or something like that. Right now it seems like "yes, it happened, we confirmed that you wanna be on top as much as I wanna be on bottom. Let's just not talk about it, okay?"

Does it honestly matter if Cloud and Tifa did have sex? I mean, certainly, it adds to their relationship, but either way, they expressed that they loved each other. I think that's the most important thing from their little passage.

True, but it's still something to wonder.

BTW, I got it! Yes, they confirmed they love each other - like brother and sister!

....what? That doesn't work?

Hey, they say it *is* best, after all.

I don't really know or care if they had sex either. The LTD is still over. c:

There never saw a LTD, it's been obvious Cloud loves Terra for over a year now.

EDIT - This topic is now about the latest news post. Boooooo at the Ultimania for leaving out FF2 and 6. They had Crystals too, sort of!

Ehhh, VI is a little different, they have weird soul-stone things. Actually, I've never understood fully how magicite is supposed to work since they mention that Celes got infusions and it seems to be implied with the little kids who get it, so do they grind the magicite into bits and inject it into themselves like heroine addicts? Or is it more like materia and it just needs to be attached to you or your weapon?

No no no, Magicite is what happens when Espers die. The Empire never knew about Magicite until the party's raid, they sucked magic out of Espers another way and tossed them away when they thought they'd gotten all the magic out. The question is how the Empire's methods yielded magic since it was a method other than Magicite.

EDIT - Yay, 8 votes for Aerith! Come on Cleriths, let's overthrow them at last! They have issued a challenge, and we must answer it!

Perhaps they were somehow able to extract and concentrate some abilities? Since Celes comes with only Blizzard and maybe a couple of other techniques, whereas you can get so much more on her if you get her some magicite.

And I still believe magicite is the concentrated soul of the esper, thus why its so much more powerful than the extraction method that the Empire uses.
