Jon Schnepp has basically a MASSIVE amount of stuff from the cancelled film, and is attempting to get in contact with everyone involved, and make a documentary about it. It's just over 55% funded right now. I really want to know all about the complete and total insanity that would have been this film.


To give you another taste of why this needs to happen, here's an old interview with Kevin Smith, where he talks about writing the initial script for the film, before Tim Burton become involved:

I have mixed feelings about this movie.

Pro: Looks better than the last one.

Con: Superman is kind of a shitty character over all.

Pro: Michael Shannon could make an intimidating Zod.

Con: Seems like they are recycling shit just like the last movie did.

Pro: No old footage of Marlon Brando.

Con: Instead we get all new footage of Russell Crowe.

Pro: Trailer makes it look original, what with Superman in handcuffs.

Con: Still no Bizarro, the best character in all of the Superman mythos.

The fact that things are so different from the previous films gets me excited. Superman Returns doesn't exist in my head. Henry Cavill is going to blow this out of the water, I always had faith in him since the announcement of his casting.
