I hope the new games introduce an evolution for Dunsparce. Hopefully one that outclasses Togekiss, that way the Dunsparce family can finally take back the title of best non-legendary paraflincher. And my Dunsparce could totally kick a Togekiss's ass, all I'd need to do is Thunder Wave it, and the Rock Slide it a few times, shouldn't take moar than two Rock Slides since it's super effective, and Togekiss is fainted.

All I hope is the fire starter isn't a fighting type again because its just become irritating that we have had three fire starters who are part fighting types.

Presumably, the name either derives from sylph, a spirit of the air, or sylvania, meaning forest land.

I have my bets its a bug or flying type pokemon.I think is more the latter because of the fact that slyphs were the spirits of air which means that the thing could possibly have some connection with that.Or it could be a bug type because its name has something to do with forests.

Flying type, almost for sure. Which, since all Eeveelutions are single-type, would make it the first non-legendary Flying-type without a secondary. And of course, despite the bizarre ribbons and bows design... I must have it. My Eeveelution collection is no longer complete!

I'm expecting that we'll get a situation somewhat akin to Umbreon and Espeon with this gen. We have a Flying-type Eevee now, so it'd make sense to at the least also get a Ground-type (Quakeon?), Rock-type (Stoneon?), or Bug-type (I got nuthin'). After all, aside from the first three they always come in twos.

- Hexeon (because insects are of the subphylum hexapoda, but then so are some non-insects >.>).

Just been looking at the international names, to make sure I was spelling the Japanese name (Ninfia) correctly, as it put me in mind of bugs. Seeing the French name (Nymphali), it seems to be suggestive of nymph, an immature stage of some insects. I'm going against the majority, and will say it's a Bug type.

Still, until then, I'd begun wondering if Sylveon was from sylvania, as in Transylvania. The Phantasm Pokemon, Sylveon, a Ghost type.

And I've said it once today, but I'll say it again: Eevee's Flying type evo should be called "Griffeon".
