TBH, the one thing I do agree with is this place has too many admins and mods. I think 3 admins and maybe 3 mods would be plenty. This place doesn't get that much activity to have that many mods. But really I don't see a problem with Tres and I'm surprised so many people do.

I think this just proves I shouldn't be here, given how instantly defensive, and reluctant you people are to cooperate in a simple conversation about the man's qualifications as a mod. But it extends much further than that small issue.

How many of you are actually bothered by the moderators who, really, are only just members with special privileges to keep things organized when they run out of hand?

Since extenuating circumstances are going to keep me from coming here, and I've already request a ban, I certainly should. I wish I could say I was leaving because "OMG STAFF IZ SO MEANS" but I don't have that luxury.

Staff hasn't let me get away with shit, and every time I've outright flamed someone I was warned for it. So stuff it and keep it stuffed. Oh and for your information, the only person on staff that I supposedly don't "like"(even then that's going too far) is MOG, and I've mostly never been friendly with him in general.

I like a lot of the people on staff, but that's not a "OH I'LL AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE" pass.

Lighten up? I'm sorry but where are the torches and pitchforks? The angry accusations and rage infused essays about how awful the site is? The fact is at best you guys got a handful of disgruntled members that make sarcastic remarks and quips when something they don't approve of happens suddenly for no reason. Fact is you guys have gotten off easy and things have never been as bad as both members and staff would like you to think.

Yes I cared, I do like this site, and I don't think I want to see it fail.

But it doesn't matter anymore, it just doesn't.

Which, by the by, has not been the best of tones lately, with the actions and attitudes that have seemingly been permissible from members as of late. I thought respect of other members was a requirement, but it seems that if you make a few of the right people laugh, you can show disrespect to whomever you want.

Because we ('The Staff') considered him a good candidate. He would make good site staff, yeah, but I'm certain he's also good as a moderator, based on his posts here and the reputation that preceded him.

Phrased like that, you're making it sound like it's the members' responsibility to ensure the staff are happy and feel accepted, when it's completely the other way round. It's the staff's responsibility to ensure that such segregation isn't taking place.

These were my complaints in the staff section about his promotion.

Stop complaining and let the goddamn members know before he's appointed. It's this lack of communication between staff and the members base that creates drama.

Also, as awesome as this guys is, he only has 120 posts. Why the fuck is he being modded if he isn't active on the boards? Come on people, we don't need another Schala-Kitty around here.

Yes, but that doesn't mean he needs to be a mod here as all of his contributions really have nothing to do with forum itself, more so for the front site. I still don't understand why he's being modded if he never posts.

Because post count = activity. He only has like 8 more posts than Schala, bro. The front site and forum are two seperate entities. I completely understand adding him to the Site Staff, but there's no valid reason to make him a mod if he's never going to be here to moderate the forum. I'd like to see him be more active here before we go about adding him as a Mod.

Like some of you here I have my argument with his promotion. But, given the fact he's already been staffed and considering his credentials I think we should give him a chance to prove himself as a moderator.
