I didn't intend to. I just thought it was silly that someone was trying to convince me Cloud's not an asshole when there are a lot of moments in the game where he's being just hilariously, inexcusably rude to people, and it's totally uncalled for. I remember one time realizing that because of dialogue options for the whole date mechanic, right after you leave Midgar for the first time, it give you 3 separate opportunities to be a dick to Aeris, Tifa, and Barret.

Yeah, but opportunities to be a dick aren't necessarily canon. That whole player choice thing can be troublesome. Star Ocean: The Second Story built an entire game mechanic around it.

How about that time he ditches Aeris in the seediest area of Wall Market so he can go get it on with Honeybee Inn ladies?

First, he's not going there to get his rocks off.

Second, Aeris wouldn't have been allowed in anyways.

Third, every single time he showed concern for her safety - offering to escort her home on multiple occasions with no pay- she basically said "get over yourself, I can take of myself."

Sorry, don't like Cloud, won't like Cloud, can't be talked into liking Cloud. Not that I hate him, though. I've always seen him like a little brother. He's dumb and embarrassing, but he's family.

I honestly think that Clouds feelings about Tifa are left intentionally vague, since the game wants your experience to be partially subjective.
That's why they want you to believe that whoever YOU guide Cloud to go on his date with, that's who Cloud's in love with in your version of the game. FFVII was really confused about whether it wanted to be subjective or objective storytelling. That's what the date mechanic comes out of, and that's why you can change character's names. This was a really bad decision, imo, because it is an objective story. Cloud is not you, he is a character. You shouldn't be able to choose for him who he loves. But they tried to make it so you can. It's like how in X-2, Yuna awkwardly dodges around saying Tidus's name, because that character's supposed to be named whatever you named him. Which is so odd, because he's a character with a very distinct and defined personality, he's not an avatar. This isn't FF1, u feel me? It took them so long to embrace the idea of characters being characters.

As long as it's realistic, I really don't care. Boobs are bound to move around when you move, especially if they're big. As long as it's not unrealistically bouncing all the time, I don't mind. It's not something I normally think about.

As far as fanservice goes, I don't mind the girls getting sexy shots as long as the guys get some too. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Sephiroth's abs... oh wait, he doesn't ever wear a shirt. I'm all set.

Stretching like that actually relieves a bit of the tension that gets caused in the back by the weight of the breasts. I do that after I do anything athletic. So not only is it not too fanservicey, it's also realistic

I rationalize the decision to give Cloud all those choices by saying, "well, it's the first disc." During this time, the Cloud we are seeing does not have the same personality as the real Cloud after disc 1. Maybe not surprisingly, the dialogue choices drastically fall off after disc 1 (I can't ever remember any really, but feel free to correct me if I am wrong). The player may get to choose "who Cloud's in love with" during disc 1. But after that, when the real Cloud surfaces, the player is not given the same agency. That's just how I look at it.

But, on topic, I wouldn't mind some jiggling, so long as it isn't totally ridiculous. Someone mentioned some in AC, but I didn't notice it. I think AC did a good job. They also seemed to tone down her figure though. It will be interesting to see her in her old outfit again.

As long as they don't go crazy and try to animate her boobs like they are trying to leave her torso every time she moves, it'll be okay for me. I'm going to be an optimistic idiot and believe they will do something sensible regarding movement physics in the remake.

Her skirt, on the other hand... I always liked her design but a skirt is totally out of place for a martial artist (and allows the ever annoying pantyshot cheap crap). In fact, her outfit isn't fanservicey except for that bit, and they know it. They gave her pants in AC (good) but the palette and textures were dull (bad). I don't like her AC design but the girl needs pants.

Since I stumbled over this photo I've been thinking suspenders+high waist shorts would be a good spin on Tifa's classic outfit:

I didn't notice a lot of panty shots in Dissidia. I mean, you could manipulate the camera that way if you wanted, but I wasn't seeing them while she fought. honestly, if they did in a subtle and reserved way that wouldn't really be a major issue. iirc kh birth by sleep had it? or so i've read, but it was that slight if it is there that it's not a big deal and doesn't look ridiculous and tacky like how lulu's breasts sway side to side in ffx or tifa's in dissidia or emina in type-0 (who is wearing a uniform that doesn't look loose or flexible but whatdoyouknow, they jiggle if she so much as turns to the side). i haven't played ffxv so i don't know what they've been doing lately. most of the time boobs in video games seem possessed, moving all over the place and in every direction even when the character is stood still. seriously, tape those things down

but if you have to do it for the sake of 'realism' (lol) then let's get some of that on the men too. muscles jiggle with movement too.
