So I just finished the second season. Really enjoyed it.

Regina's constant struggle between anti-hero and villain has definitely been the highlight. Whereas if it was portrayed in other shows it'd be boring, this one constantly has me on the edge of my seat. Cora was also a delicious part of the season and The Miller's Daughter, as Carlie said to me a few days ago, is definitely one of the best episodes of the show.

I still love Hook. Glad he's part of the main cast now. :monster:

Baelfire's been another interesting part. The fact he's Henry's father and Henry now having ties to Rumpelstiltskin opens up a can of worms. Are there going to be more links? Because how much more related can he be to fairytales? You have Rumpie, Baelfire, Snow, Charming and the Evil Queen all in one, not forgetting Emma obviously.

Tamara and her friend (I can't be bothered to look up his name) trying to get rid of magic was a bit ... meh. But the fact that they're teasing us by saying Henry is more important has me quite excited for season three.

All in all, it continues to grow strength to strength.

I honestly can't wait to see the dysfunctional family of Emma, Regina, Snow, Charming, Rumpie and Hook trying to get Henry back. That's going to be one hell of a trip!

I'll probably start watching season three in a few days. I've literally watched like 10 episodes in the past three days and need a break.

I thought 95% of last night's season finale was pretty damn good, the last 5 minutes I absolutely hated.
I really love Frozen but bringing Elsa and Anna to the OUAT universe just no. Oh fucking great another love triangle is coming cause I haven't had enough of those yet. Thank you so much show for souring what should be a really sweet moment when Rumple and Belle's wedding with the fact that he's lying to her.

It was all pretty decent up 'til the end. Also, I haven't seen Frozen so I literally have no opinions on Elsa showing up. That being said,
I really, really, REALLY wanted him to kill Zelena by stabbing her in the chest with his dagger from the second she killed Bae by not telling him the price he'd have to pay to bring his father back, and then used the dagger to manipulate him into hurting his friends. It is 100% the one single moment that I was waiting for this season, and seeing it go down EXACTLY the way that I wanted to - especially when he says, "-because I promised my son his death would be avenged, and Rumplestiltskin NEVER BREAKS A DEAL." was just marvelous. I wouldn't believe that he'd EVER have let that go so easily after all the pain that he went through.

Essentially everything getting fucked up in the past are consequences of his revenge (which he's so far gotten away with), but that's why I'm ok with that, because all magic & other things always comes with a price, especially for him. And that makes things interesting for the upcoming season. Now - while he lied to Belle about her having the real dagger, I don't think that he actually loves her any less. Pretty much, if not everyone in his life has eventually turned on him and occasionally then used him against people. There is the upside that, if anyone goes after Belle in an attempt to take him down, there's no way they can control him to hurt her, and he won't have to hesitate to kill them. Yes, he's lying, and yes it's selfish of him, but the gesture he made and how he feels about her are genuine, but I think that deep down because of everyone in his past, he's incapable of trusting ANYONE 100%, which is why he hid the real dagger.

That being said, I don't think that their wedding was in any way disingenuous to their true feelings for each other as the dusty old book, and the little chipped tea cup. They're adorable, and they do honestly love each other - even if he's not quite the man she wants him to be yet. Their wedding was the equivalent of him making a "deal" of sorts, and if there's anything that Rumplestiltskin's character is loyal to a fault over, it's ALWAYS keeping every deal that he makes.

The Charmings have the most fucking weird-ass family.

• Rumple & his wife had a son, Bae.
• Hook stole Rumple's wife (before Rumple killed her).
• Hook helped raise Bae when he was a kid.
• The Charmings have a daughter, Emma.
• Emma & Bae got all romantic.
• Emma had a kid (Henry) with Rumple's son Bae.
• Bae dies.
• Hook now officially gets all romancy with Emma who is:
-> The ex-lover of the child Hook raised.
-> The ex-lover of the child whose mother Hook was romancing.
-> Practically Rumple's daughter (in-law though they weren't married).
• The Charmings have another kid who they name Neal (named after her lover Bae) who is Emma's brother.

What. The. Fuck.

Does this make anyone else CRAZY uncomfortable?

Yes, their family is just all kinds of weird.

That whole stuck in time thing that made Emma and her parents essentially be the same age and now Emma being like, about 30 years older than her brother etc is also still kinda weird. :P

And that ending...

They just had to spoil Regina's happiness, didn't they? :P
Of course, I do feel that she's had it coming. You can't just be "oh, but I feel love now and want to be good" and expect that all your past sins are forgiven.
Looks like the past is literally coming back to haunt her now :p

I want to look at the spoilers so much, but I'll be caught up to you lot later. I'm currently halfway through the season where
Pan's in Henry's body and Henry as Pan has just reunited with his family.
Should be done with the season just before, if not during, my holiday. Also, I'd thought to post this here.

Once Upon a Time will "put twist on Frozen's Elsa"

Just started watching this.

When does it get interesting? I don't mean that in a bad way. It's just like kind of OK watch fodder when I'm bored, but I'm less hooked on the story than I thought I'd be. I'm on episode 9 of season 1.

the fact that they just killed off the hot sheriff is not helping me love this show.

EDIT: OMG I just went back and read the first page, you people are all in love with Rumplestiltskin what the fuck is up with that he's annoying as fuck.

The first season starts off slow, but it does build up and gets even more exciting. With the case of Rumpelstiltskin, the appeal about him is more to do with his actor as Robert Carlyle does an excellent job playing him. Carry on and you'll soon see why people like him. He might be a pompous git to you at the moment, but more about his character is revealed later on down the line as with everyone else.

Apparently, it was always the plan to kill off the sheriff. But hang in there, there's more eye candy to come yet. ;)

I'm halfway through the third season where
there's another curse, Hook made Emma remember and yay, Rumple's alive! If I didn't feel sorry for Regina yet, I do now since the look on her face when she said Henry saw through her broke my heart.

The whole thing with the Wicked Witch of the West (or Zelena, as they're calling her) is totally random. It's like there was no build-up whatsoever towards her. At least with the case of the original curse and Neverland, there was one.

I also find it quite amusing how Snow's pregnant and at the time, it was her ACTUAL pregnancy. :monster:

First person I've seen that doesn't like Rumplestiltskin. Honestly for most of us he's a fantastic character, he's such a magnificent bastard but still sympathetic in his motivations and yeah Robert Carlyle does a brilliant performance.

You might warm up to him once you watch episode 12 "Skin Deep" which is also were season 1 starts getting really good.

Season 2, Episode 2. I've steadily grown more and more attracted to prince charming as the series has progressed. I approve.

Rumplestiltskin

Yeah I do like his character marginally more now, and it's nothing to do with not liking Robert Carlyle either, because he's an awesome dude.

Maybe it's just the Scottish thing. idk. You guys can't really tell because you're all sheltered from the horrors of our accents by the media, but he's doing uber polite voice for the American dodoheads and it grates on me. Occasionally he slips up and actually sounds naturally Scottish (heid comes to mind) but the rest of the time he's dumbing it down for you guys and it annoys me.

Hey ho, can't win em all.

I never found Charming to be particularly attractive, probably because I found his character to be bland and David to be just downright terrible. Also I was paying more attention to the girls and Hook obviously.

So Lex other than Charming what else are you liking about the series?

Lex

Well I wasn't that into charming at first either, but then I saw him in his leather animal gear in fairy tale land and my attraction to men did the thinking for me.

Then I saw him some more doing nice and being valiant and thought "ooooo I want him as my husband" and then I noticed he has cute puppy dog eyes and very soft looking lips. Then I made plans to create a portal and move to the universe where he's gay and totally wants me and....

sorry did i go on

Anyway Hook is also very attractive. Now considering polyamorous triad with the both of them. There could be a Lex sandwich.

Other things I like: Regina. When Snow is a badass. And I also really like that they didn't spend longer than a season being clueless about everything, season 2 is automatically far more interesting than Season 1 so far for me.

Well I'm sad I don't have more episodes to watch. I'm really not sure how I'm going to do this show week-to-week, because honestly there are episodes I spend most of the time rolling my eyes and others that are amazing.

Regina is probably my favourite character.

Also I now ship Captain Charming.

Yeah, I liked Regina from the start. And then as we saw more about how flawed she can be, I loved her even more. I like the vast majority of the characters, regardless.
The Wicked Witch of the West just bored me to tears sometimes, her appearance just made zero sense to me.

Yeah two people I've never heard about to play characters from a story I didn't want to see in OUAT to begin with. Great combination.

I'm optimistic. I like it when newcomers are chosen(I think this is the first role for the girl playing Anna, or the first big one)as long as they suit the part and do well. I didn't like Frozen all that much but I didn't hate it either. They were parts I enjoyed, but overall it felt like everything was happening 'just because' and it lacked emotional impact. And Olaf.... no man.

But I still might end up liking their take on it. *shrugs*
