Another sneak peek courtesy of Entertainment Weekly (spoilers).

Did no one tell Rachel that the one person you can't manipulate on this show is Kira? Then again she may be trying to manipulate Sarah instead.

I got halfway through the first ep of season 2 last night and fell asleep :monster:

When Helena gouged Thomas eyes it brought back memories of The Mountain and The Viper, memories I've been trying to block forever since it happened. :(

Oh yeah I really enjoyed season 1, Cosima is my absolute favorite clone. Thinking of changing my name to her.

Woah…

So… shit just just really heavy, and much MUCH deeper.

Still reeling in feelings and my mind's totally a blur.

Hmm, that was kind of an odd finale episode. I'm not sure how I feel about everything yet, but these are some of my initial thoughts/questions,
- Please, please, PLEASE let this mean that Rachel will be back rocking either A.) a sweet eyepatch or B.) a genetically enhanced/bionic eye. Or she could embrace the white hair/white eye Neolutionist look. :awesome: I really hope she's not dead, I mean, how could they kill her off with an injury that has so much aesthetic potential? :monster:
- I was genuinely surprised about Marian. Definitely more interesting than making her an evil CEO.
- I thought the four clone scene was going to be some dramatic showdown or something in DYAD, but instead there was... dancing :monster: . It was really cute, though, nice to see after such a stressful season.
- What's with the kid clone's leg?
- The male clones are... Mark? I was expecting Felix, but I guess this does raise some questions about how much the Proletheans knew, and also how much other people know (Paul and Mark himself).

My mind is still reeling from that episode.

If there's any character who can take care of herself against an oppressive military bureaucracy it's Helena. I'm still pretty worried though.

I'm also worried about Cosima.

Ok, so I'm gonna try to get a few points now that I'm a tiny bit more focused.

• Ethan Duncan was a fucking badass. I'm sad as hell that he's gone, but he went down in the best possible way. I hope that his final moments managed to teach Rachel a valuable lesson in tandem with Sarah jamming a pencil through her retina.
• Kira is a sneaky and sharp little badass. I'm wondering if we'll get some interplay between her and the little Project Leda girl. (I assumed that her leg is damaged on account or her being the only survivor of 400 attempts, but not being perfect).
• I hope Delphine is ok. </3
• Everything with Cosima shredded my heart to pieces. A cipher developed over 20 years with an annotated Island of Dr. Moreau as the key to her survival? That's one hell of a race against time.
• Poor fucking adorable little Helena. Seeing her with Kira was the best. Ever. Also, leaving behind what the Proletheans were working on with Kira & Cosima is gonna be a good move, and is clearly gonna hook into why the Project Castor folk took her. Especially interesting because Paul & Mark had a meeting earlier to deal with Sarah & Helena, but things are the other way 'round now.
• I'm gonna have to re-watch every. single. interaction between Paul & Siobhan, Paul & Mark, and Mark & the Proletheans. I'm pretty certain the reason that he and Gracie didn't have their own kid is that the Project Castor clones are impotent the same way the Project Leda ones are infertile, which means that the Proletheans knew a SHITTON more than they let on, and the Birdwatchers selling out to them takes on a new twist not that we know a tiny bit more about whose side Siobhan is (probably) on.
• Really glad that Paul or Felix weren't the male clone because it would have felt too convenient and forced, but Mark feels like an honest wildcard.
• The ending was just SO different in tone because it ends with a, "You really don't know SHIT." ball being dropped.

The whole crew is amazing:

Agreed with basically everything you said. How the hell am I going to wait nine months for new episodes? Well I guess doing a re-watch or two of the series at least will help, but beyond that.

Did you see my first post about the episode?

edit: a few other things:

 • Will people ever learn that Kira is the one person on this show you can't fool? In fact Sarah should just play Kira recordings of everyone she meets to determine their loyalties. She's basically a human lie detector.

 • Serious props to the make-up department and the actor because I really didn't recognise the crazy clone at the end of the episode as being the same dude as Mark at first.

 • Rachel is no doubt extremely angry. If she gets an eyepatch can we call her Rachel Fury?

In addition to what I said in post #165: Spoilers?

Ari's answer is hilarious
after 2.10. I also like how
he keyfabes the hell out of the interviewer and Kevin just cracks up without anyone catching it.

Graeme said:
Yeah we like the fact that it offered us the chance to have the end of the season double back to the beginning of the season, in that, the same face that is terrifying Sarah in the end is the one that started this season off terrifying her. And then we had the awesome experience of phoning Ari just before the final 210 script were sent out and telling him that he's the new clone. He literally didn't know until just before the scripts went out.

More here.

A few other things:

 • It really sucks that Kira went through all that for her bone marrow only for Rachel to smash it on the floor. :sadpanda:
 • Pretty pissed off at Siobhan now. I suspected she was going to do something like that. Of course, I don't really see what other choice she had to rescue Kira and Sarah, and her #1 loyalty was always to Kira, but that was still a pretty huge betrayal.
 • The massive military involvement is a great reveal. I guess it's highly implied that Castor knows a lot more about Leda than the reverse. I wonder how deep the conspiracy goes, though.
 • It looks like Marian has the potential to be a truly great character next season.
 • Gracie hated Helena for being a clone, then... irony. :monster:
 • The one question I'm going to lose sleep over is what the hell they're going to do to my beloved Helena.

So amazon prime doesn't have season 2 of Orphan Black free, I'm not happy.

Well, it LITERALLY just ended, so of course not? :P It'll hit on BluRay relatively soonish (I hope), because I wanna throw all my money at everyone involved with this show.

Yeah I think I may end up picking up both seasons on BR as well, especially since they're apparently also going to include deleted scenes and stuff :monster:

Even though it's a little bit odd that they kinda flew off the cuff with who to introduce as the male clone, I think that Mark makes for one of the most interesting options, and especially am glad that he earned it by just being as good an actor as he was. I also kinda like that they sprung it on him during episode 10 with the script. There's no surprise promotion like that one. I think that means that everything with him was at LEAST in play by episode 6 and forward, but the interplay between S & Paul seems to have been there longer.

Also, there should be a point to be made that Tony's ex-handler was "like Paul" and was likely also a member of Castor, which should bring him back into the mix next season.
