Orphan Black was the best show currently on television and why haven't you watched it yet?

Yeah I agree that Mark being the clone is a good choice. A lot of people seem to be kind of pissed off by it, but I don't really get why. Felix or Paul would've been too obvious.

Recap from the writers. Spoilers obviously.

Yeah, I agree that Mark was the best choice for the male clones. Felix would've been too obvious (and I do like how so far he's been removed from all the conspiracies), and I think Paul just would've been kind of bizarre. My only thing with Mark was that he was felt pretty peripheral throughout the season, and so, even though it ended up adding to the twist, it makes sense that he wasn't originally planned to be a clone. Even his relationship with Grace, while it certainly didn't come out of nowhere, kind of didn't feel as fleshed out as it could have been (as opposed to her parallels with Helena). IIRC the entire Prolethean farm plotline (or maybe it was just Helena's character, I'm not sure) was absent for like two episodes, so maybe that did it. It did make for a good twist and I'm sure they'll go interesting places with it, but I kind of wish Mark was developed just a little bit more beforehand - not enough to take away from the surprise, though.

As for people getting upset over the male clones, I doubt they'll take away from Sarah, Cosima, and Alison being the main trio, or Tatiana Maslany getting top billing.

Haha, oh wow, when it's summarized like that it becomes such a hilarious mindscrew. I feel like I've only just begun to comprehend the fact that Tatiana Maslany is essentially the majority of the cast.

Also, this isn't relevant to any of the rest of my post or even important, but
I'm slightly disappointed that I haven't seen a gif edit/mashup of the pencil scene from the final episode and a certain scene involving the Lance of Longinus in End of Evangelion. :monster:

I think that Helena & Allison traded off episodes where they weren't present, IIRC. Additionally, I like that Mark was the first threat and last threat shown this season.

Also, someone needs to make that happen. xD

In other news, I've started a rewatch of the show with my dad, who hasn't seen it before.

And yet another Emmy article. I'm probably not going to tire of posting these for awhile :smashedmonster:

Oh, one more from critic Ken Levine (I assume it's not the Bioshock guy). From the comments:
Here are the official explanations: Tatiana Maslany lobbied hard, but Tatiana Maslany canceled her out by splitting the vote in the same category.

Tatiana Maslany, on the other hand felt that she did not do her best work, so she was not disappointed by the news. Tatiana Maslany blamed the writers for not doing a good job this year, Tatiana Maslany's notorious drug habit made for on-set discord, so she is not respected by her colleagues.

Tatiana Maslany, is not eligible, due to a controversy over her birth certificate, but Tatiana Maslany regularly pooh-poohs TV work over film work. Tatiana Maslany pooh-poohs film AND TV and feels that stage is the only true way to be a thespian (Sidenote: TMZ retracted an earlier story about Ms. Maslany and a female lunch date at Lawry's, as well as firing a unnamed P.A. with a faulty hearing aid).

Finally, Tatiana Maslany feels that the work is its own reward and shuns the Emmys.
