This week's episode stands out as one of my favourites,
probably because of Mark & Sarah's dynamic. I am looking forward to more Cosima & Felix (I've missed his commentary a lot) in addition to seeing more of Allison & Justin Chatwin the drug dealer whose name I forget. I still like that her story is auxiliary to the other clones for now.
I’m a couple of episodes behind and due to vacation I won’t be able to catch up for another ten days or so, but I intend to get caught up when I get back home. The latest episode I’ve seen is 3.02
Holy shit. 5 episode binge watch catch up to the end of Season 3 completed. What a fucking ride.
I'm gonna collapse processing it all. It's all wrapped up and say to explode into a whole new set of things, but I must say that I really really loved when Allison's stories finally looped in with the rest of the clones, and we really do get to see her as being on the outside.
Oh man, this show. I really hope
Krystal is ok though. Also, what in the holy hell was that worm?! Creepy ass Neolution shit, I bet.
This was a pretty great season overall - I wasn't crazy about some of the episodes after the first one, but 3.06 and on were fantastic. I think the show is striking a good balance between raising more questions and revealing answers. About the finale,
I really like that Neolution made a comeback as the main threat. I totally forgot about them after season 1 (even though I was kind of wondering when Rachel was gonna get a new and improved eye) and even then they didn't come off as a major faction in the conspiracy, but it totally works and helps to simplify things after introducing both Castor and Topside this season (though Castor seems to be pretty much finished).
I was glad that we finally got some answers to longstanding questions, and I really liked how
S's mom was introduced as a Chimera for a HUGE twist, and that they managed to reveal it in a way that didn't seem like a string of coincidences, but that an older generation set a lot of the current events in motion that we're only just starting to get a look at.
Also, Castor being relatively done was really well managed, and the bio-weapon approach was super interesting, and I'm glad that it came out in the end and not from the outset, and was something that they dealt with in a single season as a sort of nod to the, "these are the kinds of things that people do when they're not managed with access to this kind of science and a lack of morals" for a little hint of what we'll probably get out of Neolution.
It really did feel like the most substantial "ending" that we've gotten out of any season, and a good deep breath before the inevitable plunge into the final two seasons ahead and finally wrapping up all the madness still lingering.
Finally caught the first episode, since I remembered that I need to watch them online now. Currently hunting down the second episode but holy fucking GODS, that was an amazing way to start things off, and man, oh man does it throw in some amazing background twists.
