Disgusted in herself, I'd imagine. The signs were there, and it's not like she got married for a healthy reason.

I also don't think there was a lot of pomp and circumstance surrounding the "wedding," though. The timing of it leads me to believe it was more of a convenience thing to facilitate the Jenova Project, so I think it was pretty much just paperwork and however much ceremony was required to make it legal. I read these fanfics with big reception parties with lots of guests and Hojo gazing adoringly at his bride, and I'm like "What the hell are you on?" Where would they even get that many friends in Nibelheim? "Hay every1, come join us at the location of our TOP SEECRIT experimentz and PARTAY~!!"

If you're quoting DoC - some of the last lines with Lucrecia to Vincent, I think she's says she couldn't live. If that's not the case, and you're not quoting anything from the game - forgive me. I'm not fully sure myself...

Nope, but that's a fair question since some of the other things she says here (and will say) are paraphrases of other things that have been said before. (Like when she beseeches Vincent in FF7, "Vincent, won't you please tell me?" "What?" "If Sephiroth is still alive?&quot

She means "I couldn't leave" because Vincent said to her, "You're still here." He sort of means still in his dreams, but she means that she couldn't leave this place that she imprisoned herself. If you remember, on pages 8-13, Vincent was questioning whether the fact that he hadn't dreamt of her since the end of DoC meant that she was at peace. Now he sees that isn't the case, because here she is again.

Of course, that said, she said nothing about being unable to live in the end of DoC. That was all in FF7. In DoC it was all about apologies and explaining herself a bit, and urging Vincent not to give up.

Her line about him saying that he can continue to live now is referring to his last line in DoC, though. In English it was "Thank you. It was you. You were the reason I survived." In Japanese, Souya translated it as, "Moreover, thank you. I am going to keep on living [I am still alive]." Overall, I'm kind of blending the two versions for the purposes of this fanfic. There are a lot of lines that essentially mean the same thing but are said different ways, but if you look at both of them together you can get a clearer sense of what was actually meant than if you just read the script of one language. There'll be a flashback of one of the DoC flashback scenes later where it's partially the English script, partially the Japanese script, partially paraphrase in order to encompass both, and partially artistic licence. ;D

Me neither, lol. I was drawing from memory and somehow I got Lucrecia's a lot more accurate. I wonder if that means I spend more time looking at Lucrecia than Vincent. o.O

It's just that, when I looked at that part I imagined that if vin took it off, then there'd be a pair of eyes under it lol ( and maybe a mouth and nose... ) But the rest is good!
