^ Who are you?! :o

I love how Edward sparkles in the sun and I think that the people who bash Stephenie (sp?) Meyer for her totally original take on vamps are big losers.

Please read Twilight! It's such an epic trilogy!

And the characters are so much deeper than Harry Pothead's!

(Note: Joking.)

Oh thank god. I thought she was serious. It's the PMS gentlemen! ignore the impulses.

Robert Pattinson in the Dali movie is going to be far more attractive than his role as Edward, haha. :monster:

But I will look into the Sally Lockheart series. I don't mind if being different than His Dark Materials; I just didn't want it to be too similar and just... disappointing, if you get what I mean.

And I know I'm making this into more of a "Books I'm Currently Reading" thread, but I've been reading Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, and it's really good so far. Better than I thought it would be.

A person chatting with you online.

But yes. It probably is the PMS. I thought for a moment you weren't joking.

I never chatted with you up until this point. I just wanted to know who you were since you apparently consider me awesome?

And wow, you and Joker are being creepy!!!! :monster:

Totally unrelated. ;)

I really don't read much in actuality! :( Has anyone ever read The Red Tent though? Since I don't read a lot that was one instance where I could go "wow, I've never read anyone write like this". Nnow excuse me while I laugh at "Do you not find the male member more attractive without it's hood?"

Isn't Sin City just a comic? I wanted to watch the movie but have been too lazy to. :monster: However whenever I hear "Violet Sauce" I always get the urge. :duhard:

The only two being awesome here are the ones that are being creepy.
Touche.

And the movie Sin City sucked ass.
But otherwise, if you consider graphic novels to be books, then me reading classic Archie comics when I was young must have made me extremely smart.

Can comic books and mangas be considered as books?
Or doujinshi's?

I'm going to throw in The Sandman as well.

And I consider manga to be books... More on the young adult end, maybe, but still books.

Doujinshis should not be mentioned because, like, what's so intellectually stimulating about yaoi? That's what 90% of them are anyway. Ja.

I was forced to read Hamlet this year for AP Literature and I suppose it was alright. Maybe better than Julius Cesar? Although Cesar had a much better ending.

Lol Intellectually Stimulating?

Books are just as much for entertainment as they are for exercising your mind.

Uh, it gives us people a wider perspective on why you shouldn't be a ding-dong head and be prejudice towards gay men.
And doujinshi's are still considered as books. Mehehe.
Plus, for people learning Japanese. Perfect read! You have fun, but you're learning all at the same time. :monster:

You know, I love it when someone spills out the ending. You get that feeling of a Harry Potter fan screaming their bloody guts out after hearing the horror that Harry dies.

If it's got pages, a spine, and binding it's a book.

Re: Reccommend a read

I shall summarize the tale quite happily. I bet my arch enema Road can decipher my lulz. GENTLEMEN, pretend the summary is a narration:

So I had a wife, beautiful, like you. Who tells me, I worry too much, who tells me I oughta stop killing some moar, who is a spy and works deep with some government officials.

One day they black mail her with a relative, and she didn't dare tell me the whole story, she can't take it. I just wanna know what really happened. I just want her to know that I don't care about what happens between us. So me, in my infinite stupidity, told her I'd protect her.

And you know what? She CAN'T STAND THE CONCEPT OF SUCH IDEA. She leaves. Now I killed my wife, and realized. I killed her fiance before all this happened. ):

So as the curtains close Children, I tell you now, pick your husbands wisely!
