I'm not sure what to expect, tbqh. It's been years since I've been in contact with the series it won't make any sense for me most likely.

Also, 4GB. D:

Apparently it's some sort of reimagining.

I would have rather had some sort of continuation.

How about Last Exile?

The story revolves around Claus Valca and Lavie Head, a young courier pilot and his navigator, and their adventures in the floating world of Prester. In this romantic sky world based on stylized Victorian fashion and society, two countries, Anatoray and Disith are engaged in a long and bloody war under the supervision of the mysterious Guild. Claus and Lavie, piloting their vanship (a small, stub-winged aircraft) find themselves involved in a plot surrounding a mysterious little girl named Alvis Hamilton, whom they must deliver as "cargo" to the much-feared neutral battleship "Silvana".

Last Exile draws its main themes from the steam punk genre inspired by the blending of 17-19th century European and Imperial territories with some modern technological advances. The importance of clean water during 17-19th century plays a huge role in the characterization of Claus and Lavie. Their characters and possibly the characters of Alex Row and Claus' mom are inspired by the famous 1866 cartoon "Death's Dispensary" that highlighted the dangers of the disease "Cholera" in the poorly engineered and polluted 19th century London water system.

I'm not sure if I really want to wait five hours just for this if it sucks. I guess I'll be holding judgment on this until I see it. :3

Yea, If I remember correctly, the ending kinda sucked back then. I wish there could've been somehow an OVA or some sort of conclusion.

Did you start watching Monster?

Tell me if it's good and if so I'll give it a go.

I started watching monster 3 years ago, and never finished it cuz I went back to being poor and I never picked it back up. So I'm looking for torrents with the whole show in one package.

It took me about half a year to finish it. 74 episodes it's just a lot of stuff. And it was hard finding stuff back then.

Concerning those torrents, if by any means I come across something like that I'll help you and let you know.

I've been out of the whole forum loop for a long time now and I kinda just watch Anime as it comes,
but I've pretty much ran out of options now.
A lot of shows are just names on a list at the moment really.

I feel like something with a mature dark theme preferably some action scenes but with a plot
that actually flows. I've just tried out that Tokyo Majin but the plots a bit gash if you ask me,
one character caught my interest then blergh..

Please don't bother recommending any mainstream anime,
as chances are I've already seen it, or am aware of it.
So shows like Naruto, Bleach, Neon Genesis blah blah blah, its a waste of time...
I get sick of reading other people requests when they get spammed out with senseless suggestions.

On a note to people who actually know what there talking about I've already seen shows like
Deathnote, Gantz, Claymore, Ergo Proxy, NHK, Elfen Lied, Serial Experiments Lain and Speed Grapher.
Thats sort of what I'm looking for, a dark theme, violence isn't necessarily dark.

Sorry if this post makes me sound like a bit of an arse, but its best to set it straight from the start.

You could try Gunslinger Girls, a rather depressing anime about girls doomed to die young and reborn to be government assassins. It has its happy moments, it has it's depressing moments, and is generally a rather moving anime.

I always assumed that it was on of those fanboy type ones, but if not, I'll give an episode a watch now and tell you what I thought. Cheers

Gunslinger Girls is incredibly morbid.

As recommended earlier, you should watch Monster too.

Gankutsuou, Boogiepop Phantom, Ghost Hound, Paranoia Agent and Mononoke (spin-off of Bakaneko/Ayakashi - Japanese Classic Horror). These are the names that immediately crossed up my mind.

And this

I watched the first episode of Gunslinger Girl, I can see how the word morbid was used. The pace seems quite slow but it looks like it could develop into somthing worth while.

I wiki'd that Gankutsuou and the discription of some of the animation techniques makes it sound like its worth a watch. Think I will give that one a try now.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Edit:

I have got to say Gankutsuou was a good call, the animation is so original, the use of textures combined with the 3D enviroments works so well. To top that the plot and charaters definetly deliverd. I'm off to watch the next episode now, very impressed, thanks for recomending it.

If you like Gankutsuou you're going to love Mononoke. The animation and art style are quite alike and the medicine seller is just awesome.

Nice avatar, btw.

I'm at the half way mark for Gankutuou now, the plot is so good. Always leaves you wanting another episode, If only all series's were like this instead of fillers killing the drive.

I'll check out Mononoke next, whats the plot anyway?

Thanks your avitar is pretty tidy aswell. :)

Thats the romance one isn't it?
I saw the first episode of that, if it's what I think it is.
I didn't really rate it to be honest.

Yes yes yes. Gankutsuou is my favorite anime and Mononoke was ace. Neither of them really have a comedy bit in them, though, except for that random moment in the Wood arc in Mononoke when the Samurai goes "Rar!"

Sometimes it's nice to stray away from the comedy styled ones though.
I think I'm going to have to get on the Mononoke train next, as I was so wet for Gankutsuou when I watched it. Think it was the first time since Welcome to the N.H.K that I've rinsed a series in 3 days or under :)

And I watched that quite some time ago, everything I've seen between those two has been ok but not anything to jump about over.

I've just started watching Black Lagoon and it's awesome, I really recommend it.

In the beginning it feels a little like Cowboy Bebop but as you get more into it it really has its own unique character. None of the characters are possible to hate, there's tons of action, loads of hot women show up (boys will like basically) and all the characters have mysterious pasts yet to explore.

For something cutesy though, have a look at Chi's New Address. It's a series of shorts about a little cat, which sounds kind of crap but it's not.
