Not that it’s particularly surprising (heck I’m more surprised that the FFXIV 5.3 patch wasn’t delayed even later and came out as soon as it did). Wonder if this is partially why the Remake hasn’t even had a patch yet or the virtually zero updates on the Babylon’s Fall project.

Looks like we are getting a PS5 version. People are already speculating that the latest rumors about a dlc fit well with this , SE will probably sell a bundle

Started development for part 2 only about a year ago plus delays through COVID but already far enough to record English dialogue? Nah, no chance.

Been holding out on my next playthrough for something like this. I imagine they'll be a bit backlash though. Even if they add new content I think most people would be annoyed Square is re-releasing the game so soon. The remake is already memed to death with how many parts it'll be.
