New Aerith definitely knocks the old one out of the park. It's not just the outfit, it's the hair (look at how it naturally curves around her head instead of going straight back) and the proportions of her face look a lot less lanky too. The overall level of detail took a step up too.

I like both fine, but agree that the Remake one looks way more viable to wear while doing athletic things. Also that darker pink with the red never really went together, lol.

After thinking about it, I actually prefer the old one. Essentially because it’s more urban looking and thus feels more Midgar to me. Obviously, the new dress would be more practical in real life, but the old one is not as impractical if it’s partially unbuttoned on the bottom. New color scheme is better though.

The old one looks super girly, the new one is more rebellious. In fact, I'd LOVE to have a jacket like that in gray, because it would perfectly match most of the things I wear. In terms of practicality, comfort, and realism, I vote for the new design, because dresses with buttons all the way down rarely fit well without turning you into a string of sausages however slim you are.

.... Wow. That's amazing. Getting every single AC PAK is quite a feat... I only got 4... Tifa, Yuffie, Barret and Sephiroth. Then there's the LR version of Lightning, Noctis, alternate color Remake Cloud and the 1st Class Edition Cloud and his bike. I think I'm gonna call it quits there given space concerns. Unless there's an incredible figure yet to be made as a PAK, I'm sticking to Bring Arts now.
So yeah...Those are a lot of rare PAKs you're not showing off

The date for the polygon figures got pushed back to September 4th, if anyone was wondering. They were due for an end of July release originally.

I don't mind the new one at all, but the original is iconic. I love the pink, it's a really strong pink, and personally I like the way the pink and red go together. It's altogether more vibrant. The new one tends to make her look more like a poor slum girl, which might be the point of it.

By contrast, in the States, a poor slum girl would actually probably be much more interested in the old dress than the new one. The new one comes off as “rural” or “middle-class urban” here. Like something that would be worn on the plate or by a farmer’s daughter.

the bright pink + red of Aeriths old design clashes so badly that I've prefered pretty much every redesign she's had since.
Except they totally nerfed her ass in Remake. Old Aerith was definitely much higher in the ass power rankings. It breaks my heart every time I see it

Reason why the polygon figures have been delayed in the US store is because despite being sold in US S-E, their supply is still the Japanese S-E store.
The US store is managed by Scalefast, a global e-commerce shipping and warehousing service that uses it's infrastructure to manage payments and shipments for global businesses. They are still gathering product and having to ship it internationally despite coming from the "US" store.
Japan is still not using it's postal airmail service to mail internationally to the US due to covid and that means there's a huge backlog of freight shipments meant to come out of Japan. Unless shipped through DHL or FedEx, packages are being shipped through parcel cargo freight ships which takes a long time.
Older products get warehoused in the US but newer ones still have to come from Japan.

Decided to set the thing up on my dresser again, just had to move some stuff around. Behold the ultimate testament to wasteful spending.
Also, @Makoeyes987, I lied. I don't technically have all the advent children ones. I don't have Cloud with Fenrir, he's too expensive for my blood, and also a little redundant (not that that stopped me with the hardy Daytona figure....)
