Just beat RE4 remake. Some non-spoiler thoughts.

It’s really good, but it imo it doesn’t come close to the original and it isn’t as good as the remake of RE2.

Unlike the Dead Space remake which pretty much makes the original obsolete, RE4 original is still going to be my preferred way to experience RE4. Even if parrying is pretty sweet.

Also, did anyone else think Ada’s VA wasn’t great? Sounded kinda robotic and lifeless.

Solid 8/10.

RE4Remake "Mercenaries" mode will release on April 7th. Datamining discovered this mode will include a new character not present in the original Mercenaries.

Mercenaries mode now out on Asia regions, 4 characters and 3 stages. It seens that the missing characters will be added later.

I love how everyone jumps/ducks the tentacle differently, Jill and Chris being pragmatic. Rebecca sliding under. Leon and Claire being super extra. Yeah, this is looking like some dumb fun.

Where do they go next with the series? Will they do something experimental, as they did with the first person-ness of RE7. RE9: Isometric Survival Horror card game. What will they do to keep it fresh? Will it be Resident Evil 9: Down Under: Wolf Creek, now with zombies. Will they lean more into the survival aspect, and make it a AAA version of Zomboid . How about a period drama? Resident Evil: Ancient Egypt . Pirates of the Caribbean: Now with zombies (oh, wait...). I hope they've finished with the mold arc.
