I don't think "come back to life" is meant to be taken literally. It's referring to it awakening, as in..coming out of its dead-like/coma state. But it isn't dead. When Jenova finally dies, it dissolves away and its dead. There'd be no point in keeping it alive if Jenova was already dead and its cellular structure had no life to it.

It also makes total sense that Seph is in control now because if he wasn't and she woke up... she'd probably kill him.

Due to his great power, Jenova would probably try to dominate Sephrioth's mind to do her/its biding.

Hence the battle of wills in the Lifestream between Jenova and Sephiroth.

She/it probably didn't predicted that it would be Sephiroth that would dominate her/its mind and make her/it his puppet instead!

Right. I always thought it referred to reviving/reanimating, since this cannot happen if something is truly dead as a doornail.

I was providing the quotes for some reference, though, towards the whole "confinement" thing.

Well thanks to this topic I had a dream that in this one game you would fight Jenova in her true form. It was weird, she was basically thus huge purpleish alien that sat in a giant chair. You'd have to do something like, jump onto her arm and then attack her in the face to do damage.

There were also three parts in the battle and the second part, ... okay this really makes no sense, you'd have to give juice to Marlene so she could sing. Because apparently the singing would hurt Jenova XD

The third and first part were similar except she'd attack more in the third part. It was kinda neat actually. Also throughout the level where you were looking for her, you'd hear her roaring and stuff and you knew you were getting closer. ... that's kinda neat isn't it? I'm surprised my subconscious came up with that.
