It's funny though because I only ever use my desklamp. :wacky:
I like the lighting in my flat to be dim and cosy. :P

I cut it pretty close sometimes when I'm not being more careful (I've recently been going out a lot, which isn't something that I typically do). Essentially this upcoming paycheck goes directly into rent, and the leftover from that + what else I have goes into my gas, electric, internet, washer & dryer, phone, credit card. Anything that leftover doesn't get waits until the next paycheck. Occasionally I get paid three times a month which is when I get a little more room to do whatever (and pay things off or save if I'm being responsible).

(Come Jan, I'm going to attempt to start school, so "woo" for whatever student loans and such are going to do to that).

I might wait until November to pick this up though, because I asked both of my parents pitch whatever they can to help me get the PS3 brand tv that's coming out then, because I really need SOME kind of HD one (some of the text in Deus Ex is almost impossible to read), and I'd love to play SotC in 3D. ^^;

Got it today. Time to start playing now. SotC was hands-down my favourite game ever, before the current-gen consoles came out. Now I have it on one. So happy.

There's no way Hollywood would leave their comfort zone to have a movie with no dialogue besides Dormin and only one character with no lines and no living female for bullshit sexual tension. It will be SotC in name only.

A thousand times no. I think SotC could work as some sort of arty independent film/animation. But hollywood? Fuck no. For raisins Force said.

I just don't get why they do these things, there is an established fanbase for something....and then they take that something and drain it of all originality to repackage it for mainstream audiences, end up with at best (and rarely) a mediocre film that nobody gives a shit about.

They are probably hoping to bank on curiosity. People who are fans of the game will watch just to see what it's like and the movie will profit anyway...

*Everything* could be an amazing adaptation "if done correctly".
The problem here is, you'd have to be retarded to think this is going to happen in any way. It's a video game adaptation that needs a reasonably high budget to portray the epic battles against the Colossi.

I'm sure Hollywood studio execs would love to pump their money into a high budget art movie that barely contains any dialogue and has a highly minimalistic story that is very much left open to interpretation and totally not alter the premise in any way to appeal to a mainstream audience.
