@DNA: I remember the SOTW kind of going downhill after a bit of rather lame drama errupted when a few people decided they didn't like the fact that one particular entry got so many votes, even though it didn't even win. To me that says, "Yes, enter, but only so we have someone to beat, because since we're better you aren't allowed to even come close to winning."

After that everyone stopped caring, myself included. No point in having a contest like that. Who's going to want to enter anyway?

The fact that SOTW kinda going downhill after a bit of lame drama erupted when a few people decided they did not like the fact that one particular entry got so many votes, even though it did not win, but after all it got so many votes!... don't make me tell you guys what I really feel about these kind of stuff.


If the SOTWs are not going to be anonymous, I won't give a phish to it no matter what.
Some people are going to vote for a certain user, regardless of the quality of their entry or others. even they may not be aware of it, but they will get attracted to their entry subconsciously and I say even one vote of this kind can ruin the whole competition fun and excitement.

I dont got photoshop anymore and i dont work week ends so im definitely eligible for hosting in DNA's absense.

Any new theme ideas?
Ive been thinking we could change the scope of the competitions , how about instead just sigs we could do graphic art of the week type things. Any size and what not, we could make mock ups of forum skins and stuff like that. It would be interesting and would certainly be funner then being confined to 500x500.

If you guys arent up for it and just wanna stick to SOTW thats cool too, but we definitly gotta bring this place back to life.

What about a 70-80's sitcom style for a theme? Would be neat, cosby vs al bundy tags anyone? :P

I'd be down. I would also be up for hosting whenever you or DNA can't.

Also sitcom theme would be fun. I'd do a Full House sig. :wacky:

I also think that the SOTW should be anonymous.

I agree anonymity would be the best solution to the whole favoritist issue , be it subconscious or not.

Anyway id be up for re-vamping the comp, the only drama that cropped up on this was the idiotic principle of people voting not on the merit of a good tag but because their e-pals were the ones in the comp.

That's what everyone thought, hence the drama. But I digress, it's only going to go in circles.

I would be down with hosting, unless DNA comes back and wants to do it as graphics mod.

It would be completely anonymous as well.
