Sig of the week Discussion Thread

Alright, everyone, we're gonna get this party started once more here.

Let's come up with a theme, and let me all know when you would all like it to start again. I was hoping next week could be the kick-off. Official start on Monday, all entries turned in by Friday at say, maybe, 11pm Eastern time, voting until Sunday night, and winners posted on Monday, when another round starts anew.

Completely anonymous, critiques encouraged, but no bitching because something you don't deem worthy got more votes.

I'm thinking about starting this on Monday of next week. Does that work for you? Deadline will be that Friday. I'll flesh out the details when I make the actual post.

I was thinking the music theme might be good to start out with. This would be musicians, actual instruments, or basically anything so long as the sig makes you think of music.

Music is a great idea, would like to see.

TLS Members I would LOVE to see. Everyone has atleast one person or group of people they'd know who they want to draw.

Not everyone has seen Inception. But if they have, DO THAT TOO!

lol Joe, sigs don't always involve drawing (but I suppose on could if they wanted to).

I like the music idea, but I don't think you should limit where we get our stock, it takes away from making it to me. /: Same with size, the creator should do that. I think the theme is enough to set a base on and that's just fine for me. (:

hmmm, I would put a limit on size that way it's one type being used rather than lps being entered.

Yeah I agree with Althea. KTR your sig is gorgeous but a lot of people don't make them that big. If we have a size standard then it's a more level playing field.

I just keep thinking of another sig that someone on this forum uses. It's bigger than yours, KTR. It's huge, and more of a lp/wallpaper than an actual sig. I don't think it's right to enter anything that big.

As for having a set place to get your stock from, I figured it would be more of a challenge that way. Instead of just picking whatever and maybe settling for what is easiest, people will be pushing their creativity trying to work out of their comfort zone. That was why I was thinking of it anyway. lol

But we can scrap that and maybe do it another week.

I think a size limit should still stand, though. But maybe bigger? 200x400 perhaps? They can be smaller, but no bigger.

We could probably go with big sigs in a future SOTW.

LOl, yeeeaah this is like my biggest sig...ever. xD I think having a size limit is good, but a set size maybe not. Something like 200/250 x 400/450 would be nice, that's a good idea. And thank you for calling my sig gorgeous, Tenny.<3 :3

And yes, the set stock thing would be a good idea, but maybe for a later SOTW. Since it's just starting again, I think the more diversity in this one would make it more welcoming and people more comfortable to join it.

But you are right, since this is the first of the SOTW reboot it should be a bit more open. I'll just go ahead and make the limit be 200x400, with a music theme.
