I dont see why people think Tifa wouldnt be seen as a motherly figure. She always seemed like she had the caring, nurturing personality. In fact, thats one of the qualities I liked most about her.
[/quote]

No one is saying she isn't, the problem is that's what they've turned her into. Sure she was always a caring and kind person but I never saw her as "motherly" in FF7, now she's becoming just another generic motherly type character who's in danger of falling even further into the background because of it.

This is all my opinion of course.

The enormous breasts that would be able to produce enough milk to feed a small country didn't bring up any associations?

I never really saw her breasts as big as everyone else seemed to. A little disproportionate, but I've seen worse in real life tbh.

Also, stfu you.

I dont mind other stories in FFVII Compilation.
If anything I HOPE that there`ll be more. Lucky for me SE gave a storng `hint` in the DC` Secret Ending.

The only thing I really want... Is to Nojima write the story. That other guy who wrote DC script made the story too soap-operaish sometimes (oh how I wish there wasnt all these "ah lucrecia!... oh lucrecia! and ah, oh vincent! I loved you!..")
Othrwise the plot was quite good though.

And the other thing is Genesis not to be the main character! Although I kinds doubt he`d have a minor role.
He could play the singificant part (like in CC) but not to be mainchar.

I think the best thing they can do for the Compilation is to have the original FF7 team (assuming that isn't what they were doing) do all of the work, all of the way.

Right now Square knows two ways to make RPGS:
1) Make ridiculously large and epic games which takes multiple years to develop
2) Remake old titles for handheld systems.

I think that another FFVII rpg would need to locate itself inbetween a large budget (for example the FFXIII projects) and the more earthbound experience of a smaller adventure.
In my mind the characters already had their great adventure to save the planet and such. The FFVIIAC ordeals I can put up with, but I certainly dislike DC for making yet another final battle culminating in Midgar and having a world-threatening catastrophe happen so shortly after Meteor and Sephiroth's Advent.
I'm so pessimistic that story-wise I don't think they can do much interesting, although there are loose ends to tie up, so what I want to see is a modest RPG with some new additions to prepare them for how to remake FFVII eventually. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong and the next compilation title will be a great one.

I believe a simple sequel to the compilation's true finale must be in order. But good old tet down Japan won't stop leaving some open ended nonsense for the sake of us lot and the people there to speculate (as if it needs to be done these days -__-). What we need is a true ending to the compilation. DoC, merely left us some more like what is Genesis going to do? Will he strike back at Cloudy? seeing as Cloudy inherited Zack's legacy and all. What the final piece needs is another epic RPG that covers and closes everything in FFVII and so we can just happily wait for the new FF or something after that :monster:

It's going to be interesting seeing as how they might suddenly make Genesis the main bad guy while I think Sephiroth will make an appearence, unfortunately. I only say that because he's died one too many times but knowing his huge fan base he'll probably be back. As for Genesis and Cloud it seems like Genesis actually liked Zack so it'll be fun to see what SE comes up with to make him evil :P

According to tet over Japan, Genesis is working to rebuild the planet. Not kill it with his OVER 9000 power levels by that point, so I don't think he'd be a bad guy or the main baddy, I'd suggest a misguided anti-hero, but if they plan to add sequels to FFVII's universe, I'd suggest a new bad guy (potentials like Kadaj or the Deepground) or Jenova's mate (come on! we all know there has to be a male in her species!) to crash on Gaia and cause a new mass of chaos far more than that of Sephiroth's league.

Honestly, I think the creators are just going to have to come up with a brand new antagonist out of left field, we'd have no clue about.

Kinda like what they did with FFIV: The After.

The Mysterious Maiden and The Creator were antagonists that just worked, despite never being alluded to or anything anywhere. I'd like it if FFVII did that. Just start from scratch. That way, it'd be surprising as well.

I figured there could be a new concept of Jenova's species. Like a mass invasion, or an entirely different alien species. I found this concept of invasion only in the KH series, which worked to some extent, but instead, it should focus on Cloud and Co. defeating the race in Gaia than move here and there, it should also involve the Lifestream and Genesis. Possibly allusions to Jenova or something.

That could work if they did it like maybe Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. That'd actually be pretty cool.

Or exploit the crystal concept of Dissidia. Possibilities are endless. And come up with a new nemesis. Though deep down, we all know Sephiroth is Cloud's evermore nemesis.

Sephiroth is dead and he has to stay dead for us to even take anything the story gives us seriously. If they keep resurrecting Sephiroth then it'll be pointless to have him be defeated again. What's the point in having Sephiroth come back to just die again, and what's the point of Sephiroth being defeated if he comes back?

It just won't make any sense and would get lame and redundant.

Kinda like with FFVIII, only that (as it turned out waaay later on in the game) was actually quite near the beginning, :monster:.

I hope we see Sephiroth in two future titles. Final fantasy vii remake of course(if it ever happens), and one more follow-up title to put a final end to him. The fight in AC was great, but it didn't really conclude and was not very long. In a future title if they could just bring him back for one last big battle, or at least just have an event occur to put an end to the Sephiroth conflict I'd be happy. I like the idea of including Jenova's race, or some other alien threat, but please let it take place out of Midgar...Of course there is the Genesis conclusion that we are all expecting. Idk, I personally think they'll only be two other game titles: a continuance, and a ff7remake. It seems that's all they would have time for before the 20th ann. I do think another movie would be cool though...don't know what would be in it though.

M.O.G, you're cold.

Honest, but cold :monster:

Seriously, I cannot fathom the logic behind having Sephiroth appear again just so he can die. It's so pointless.

There was something truly telling in Dissidia, with how genre savvy Cloud was when he saw Sephiroth. When he said there was no point to fighting him, truer words were never spoken regarding their conflict. It's just done.

How many times must Sephiroth die for it to be the final time?

Well AC will definitely put an end to his pipe. New antagonist or nothing yo

Agreed, I was fine with Sephiroth's return in AC, and I enjoyed in DoC that Sephiroth was mentioned but had nothing to do with the crisis. (Yeah yeah they just rehashed another villain. But I thought it was decently done with Weiss and all. Also, despite implausibility, I liked that it was just Hojo's mind not "oh he somehow survived mysteriously despite you physically killing him in person")

So I agree, the next game should have a new villain, Genesis' alignment ambiguity could stay that way for much of a game and be pretty fun, in addition to a new villain.

That's what i want them to do in the installment. Just mention Sephiroth in the dialogue and maybe some flashbacks, just to show how he marked the lives of everyone in the planet and that his shadow still lingers in the planet, even though he's dead.

That's a lot more classy and tasteful than having Sephiroth returning just to be defeated again.

And frankly, i think that they're changing the fight in AC so that can be Sephiroth's final moment of glory, as the true One Winged Angel.

Hence why they should just use Jenova's species as the antagonists.

Yes, all this started with Jenova, so it should end with Jenova, to close the circle.

I would still rather them do an entirely different enemy we'd never see coming, to be honest. Jenova would just be too predictable.

Seph would be fine, since he's the awesome antagonist dude, but Jenova (and possibly, her race (if any, although from what I've seen she seems one of a kind)) is the real bad-ass antagonist thingy, and I'm fairly sure that they could do something awesome with either her, her servants (i.e. the Seph clones, the leather fags in AC, etc), and whatnot.

In FFVII, she's largely either contained in the Shinra lab and there's a few boss battles with her, but since then, she's been reduced to bits trying to get back to each other. It would be really awesome if they'd see the Reunion go through and work, restore Jenova to her full powar (and more, genetic or cybernetic modifications could work), and have one giant epic final battle for great justice.

imo.
