So after nearly three weks of no updates, I bring you Sporking Shinra SOLDIER: Chapter 75 part One!!!

If you're not caught up, this is going to be the wedding chapter and we've had a lot of epic stuff planned for quite a while, including bringing back the drinking game chibis. Livejournal has some sort of limit to the size for journal posts, so much like the first drinking game this is going to be split into two or three pieces. We are working hard to get the rest of the chapter up soon as well.

I kno rite!? She even said ... god I have to find the quote for this one...

"Well, let's start off by getting a SOLDIER roster. Pretty much the entire army will want to come and are is actually somewhat entitled to come..."

It's not that big of a deal, just the ENTIRE ARMY will want to come! And I feel like she meant "obligated" instead of "entitled." If they are only "somewhat entitled" that means that they "don't entirely belong" at the wedding.

So she feels that her entire army kind of has an obligation to attend her wedding.

the drinking game is hilarious
but i've to admit that i'm a little diappointed, i wanted to see Jenova take control on sephiroth in the middle of the ceremony. something like this:
Priest:"Sephiroth, do you take this woman, Julia Nakahamou, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
Jenova take control on Sephiroth( who is secretly glad of the fact)
Jenovaroth:" of course not!! She is a mad, genocidal psychobitch!!"
Jenovaroth start to torture with the purpose of killing Julia and the whole attendants are happy .

So, reading through all this has made me think- it's entirely possible to do a 'FF as Highschool' story if you have any clue what you're doing. Seeing this... unsalvageable dreck almost makes me want to start that one up. Total AU, almost completely normal world, all the FFs blended in as best they could be, that sort of thing. I'd need to decide a POV char, though. Freshman Rikku might work. The FFIV crew and the older members from other games could work as staff, etc. etc.

Yeah, you just have to take just enough of the right sort of liberties.

For example- Rory O'Bright, the new amnesiatic transfer student Superintendent Catherine Osmos is fostering until some of his past can be found.

Cid Pollendina drives one of the buses 'Cuz try and stop me' but is technically speaking in charge of shop class.

Rosa Farrell is Co-Music instructor with her good friend Gilbart, and coaches the archery team, etc.

Cloud's the dorky but athletic kid who tries out for the Varisty Football team to impress the girl who wants to join the cheer squad because she expects him to get in, etc.

Cecil and Rydia teachs religions, Edge and Yang teach Martial Arts (Edge is focused on ninjutsu, Yang on kung fu)

It is a mystery to me why anybody would want to role play high school, especially kids who are still in high school, but chacun a son gout is what I say.

I like the idea of Hojo as science teacher, but I'm torn, because I also like the idea of him as the brainiac science nerd who lures Lucretia in to work on his National Science Fair project because she has ambitions to win an Ivy League Scholarship, leaving poor Vincent alone to run the poetry club with Genesis and resident goth girl Lulu. Siefer would be head boy and Rinoa would be head girl and the Turks would be very corrupt prefects; Balthier would be dealing drugs out behind the bike sheds and Basch would be the noble captain of the football team, buit Kain would be plotting to undermine him. No shortage of jocks at FF High! Penelo's only a freshman, but she's made the cheerleading team and the mean girls (Tifa, Ashe, Celes) are jealous. All the Viera would sit at one table in the cafeteria and all the Ronso at another; the Ronso would all be in special programs and subject to lots of educational 'interventions' due to their culture not enabling them to speak English correctly, which means they would regularly underperform on the SATs, causing anxiety to their teachers, whose performance bonuses depend on the test results.

Meanwhile the staff - Reeve, head of geography; Scarlet, head of industrial design; Edward 'Spoony' Bard, head of English; Wakka, head of PE; Bugehagen, head of science, and Holtzoff, team leader for Outward Bound, sit in the staff room together with Headmaster Cid, drinking coffee, doing sudokus, reading the most hilarious of the students' essays out loud to each other, forming lottery ticket pools, and counting down the days to retirement.

I like the idea of Cid as a bus driver.

Cid Highwind could make a good bus driver, but I could see him as a old-school gym coach, barking at the kids to climb up a rope while he puffs away on his cigarette
