For great justice, here's some stats for TLS, .
Attached are two Google Analytics reports, one for the frontpage, one for the forums. I really should get to merging the two into one, it's kinda tricky to get the full picture when they're two different thingies. But I'll do that wicba,
The frontpage's statistics are from September 25 to now, and the forum's statistics from November 22nd to now.
General analysis, the forum's activity in terms of visitors has remained pretty stable, at around 300 visitors / day with a slight peak in the last few days, probably due to christmas holidays and whatnot. The frontpage's visitor statistics are a bit more gradual, but gradual in the positive sense of the word, i.e. going upwards. There's an odd fluctuation (in the negative sense of the word) last weekend, but that can probably be blamed on the weekend - I dunno, lol.
The differences frontpage and forums is pretty obvious from the two stats - the frontpage has more visits (almost twice as much), but less pageviews (forums have four times more pageviews than frontpage), and the frontpage has more new visitors, 33% of the visitors are new (although I dunno what google considers 'new', compared to 12% on the forums. Finally, the average time on the site is a lot different between the two - around three and a half for the frontpage to 16 minutes on the forums.
But all that is quite logical, rly. I'd personally like the figures to even out a bit more, but eh.
I'll try and post new statistics every month and give a bit of an analysis on the data, perhaps see if a link between new articles and more visitors can be made, that kinda stuffs.
