IMO Jessica Jones was an ok show but wasn't Daredevil tier. It's biggest saving grace for me was David Tennant. If he wasn't there it would have legitimately been an awful Daredevil season 1 clone (seriously they are waaay to similar) with horrible fight choreography, unnecessary and annoying sub plots with supporting cast.

Here's hoping Punisher and Iron Fist are great.

Tbqh, Luke Cage was one of the only things that I enjoyed about JJ (aside from the redeemed junkie and Night Nurse) - David Tennant notwithstanding. Probably because almost everybody is a slightly terrible person, so the longer I watched for, the less engaged I was with anyone involved. Probably BECAUSE of that, I'm actually really looking forward to Luke Cage series, whereas I couldn't care less if I never saw anybody from JJ ever again.

I didn't dislike it really, it's just that I was wholly satisfied with it being done where it ended, and don't really have a strong desire for more of it as it stands. (Does that make sense?) I'm just... kind of at a loss to what would engage me for a second season at this point, because all JJ really did in the end is make me REALLY want to see Luke Cage's series. :\

I know that I objectively enjoyed it more on the first episode than I did on the final episode. I think that lacking characters that I could connect with and significantly care about (aside from the ones I listed above), made it so that the consequences of their interactions held less... meaning(?) for me as things went on.

Also, Robyn's character makes me want to literally scoop out my eyes with a rusted spoon.


Still well-written, and excellently acted, but really just not for me, I think.

Yeah pretty much. I also felt like they added quite a bit of unnecessary 2edgy4me scenes just to point out "hey this is a MAX comic" kind of in the same way that last DMC game said fuck so many times in a cringy way i guess? lol

I recall a scene where Jeri's assistant basically finger bangs her because reasons. Added nothing to the plot or the scene. Just finger banging. Now I'm not an ultra conservative prude or anything. I just thought it was dumb lol and the show is riddled with stuff like that that really just didn't feel organic and were tossed in only as a nod to the Comics publishing line.


Also annoying neighbor was 100% the worst on screen character I have ever seen. Good lord she can ruin any show. She could ruin Dr. Who for me.

Over all JJ just leaves me conflicted at best. The acting was excellent. Like Tennants performance in this show is top fucking notch and is in my opinion the best villain the MCU has to date (followed up closely by Loki and Kingpin).

As noted by X earlier her drug addict neighbors character Arc was also really well done and over all he's a great character.

Not much to say about Krysten. She always delivers.

But that's about it for the good sides of the show to me.

I think he could carry at least one season on his own pretty well. A second one might be pushing it, but nevertheless, I am still excited, and can't wait to see where this goes. This makes me more excited than ever to be able to meet Jon Bernthal in August.

I think the character of Punisher can. If you meant Jon as an actor though I also think he can big time.

The Diner and Cemetery scenes really sealed the deal imo.

Can Punisher carry his own show? The guy who overshadowed everyone and carried the messy second half of season 2? Yeah I think he'll be fine.

As for Jessica Jones it just wasn't on the same league as Daredevil. Messy storylines, some ridiculous characters; the twincest duo (female half in particular), the unnecessary waste of screentime military guy (I'll never remember his name) and the even more unnecessary lesbian love triangle (ugh go away). The show has potential to be great, I mean Krysten Ritter is fantastic but it needs to be helm by someone whose previous work wasn't the Twilight movies.

I dunno, I think part of the reason he shone so much is because he wasn't the main focus, I think his draw could wear thin with a dedicated show.

I won't say the love triangle was well executed, but the point of it was
to give Holgarth temptation to use Kilgrave, although following through on it was a headbanging moment for me (yes, let the guy with mind control powers out of his cell, that will end well)

Ohhh Commissioner Burrell is in this. I gotta be honest I'm kind of meh about this show, although that probably has a lot to do about not knowing anything about Luke Cage. Also the trailer just wasn't as good or hype educing as the ones for Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
