And not to take anything away from Nojima, but he's was 1 of 4 writers in FF7. So maybe thats why he had a hard time passing through all that Tifa/Cloud love **** into the actual script of the game, the other writers wanted something more open. So he goes and helps write little books after FF7 for all the fans that want to pretend there was something more with Cloud and Tifa.

So a couple daydreams = love but having your entire life and childhood revolve around one person and one person only, and later on living with that person after sharing your feelings of wanting each other and then raising a family means nothing.

But... He's the head writer. He's the guy who actually WROTE Final Fantasy 7. Nomura and Kitase get writing credits, but their contributions are detailed already. Nojima wrote the rest of the plot, the movie, and all the OtWtaS novellas. Even if he's but one author, he's certainly the most influential towards the plot.

There's a point to be made that the more your pet theory causes blatant or accidental character assassination in order to come about, the less likely it is.

I have said time and again that 'if one sets any consistent and even standard for what does and does not count as being in a relationship, if it will include Cloud and Aerith, it must by necessity include Cloud and Tifa' as well.
