Me and Celes (the person on the forum) can introduce you to some other ones that we know. Like Winter and Zee are pretty damn awesome. Also what ever happened to Angelwing Aeris? Is Sky still around? They're both still around! Just not... on TLS. As far as I know, lol. Or TFC. xD Anyhow, there are still nice members on CxA. I could name drop a ton, but this goes back to that off topicness again or whatever.

Well, there's something about Cloti and Clerith art. It sounds weird, but there is a different feel with each of them, even though they are all drawn by different artists. O_O The atmosphere like, in the drawing is just different. I CAN'T EXPLAIN I FAIL. Interesting that you prefer Clerith art, though. BD

What ? A Clerith can draw Cloti fanart, there's no laws against it.

I've never doodled Cloud/Tifa fanart despite being a fan of it for probably over a decade, but weirdly enough I have already done Lightning/Tifa

I prefer Cloti art. There is some really pretty Clerith art too though. I like the whimsical ones XD But Cloti art tends to capture small moments and stuff, which I like. Also, art of the family is just <3. Also the art of the nekkid times.

Anyway, regarding the previous conversation about fanarts -I judge from Pixiv- Cloti is more down-to-earth and sexy, while Clerith is more... fairy-tale-ish?

Now it's forever etched in my mind. *twich* And if the first chapter doesn't get you, the third one will literally kill any sense of normalcy, happiness, and humanity you have in you. You will want to burn your soul in an inferno of 1000 fires to cleanse it, but it will never come clean. NEVER.

It's always been something I cannot help but recognize with the images of the girls: Aerith has a princess-like image. Long curls, the pink colour that is girlish (yes, it's a stereotype and thus stupid, but one that is played with), the long dress-skirt and the puffy shoulders in her original image scream "Fairy-tale princess!" from a mile away (of course, there are people like me who thought that Aerith was a catgirl, since I took her ribbon for cat ears... WHAT DO YOU MEAN, IT WAS JUST ME??????????? ). And yet, she's the one with the foxy, flirty attitude, who grew up in the slums.

Tifa has a more rogue-ish image, with gloves that miss the fingers, a short skirt, simple clothes, not very striking colours, even the red on her is toned darker, obviously a fighter and looks more like the type of woman who would be comfortable around men and with flirting, (and again, I sincerely thought she was far older than both Cloud and Aerith, like around 25 when I first saw her. I imagine my surprise when I learned she younger than both!) yet she is the one who had romantic ideas about being saved by a hero, she's the shy and reserved one.

With fanart, since it is image-oriented (NO SH*T, SHERLOCK!), the exterior is taken into account, rather than the interior. Had the interior been taken into account, the fairy-tale-ish would be the Cloti and Clerith would be the realistic one.


Also, I am endlessly amused how Cloud's image in not taken into acoount here.

Well, AFAIK, the author of CMTL never publicly declared the fanfic as their idea of what actually happened in Canon...
Plus, you can laugh at Spirit Lover for the sheer absurdity. Scat, harder to chuckle over.

That's what I was going for, whimsical in the case of quiet, sad, but pretty. But I think all my favorite fanarts seem to depict really quiet moments. Those kind of fanarts tend to be mah favorites, which is why I tend to like Clerith fanart more. Not because they're prettier, but they tend to have more of an emotional punch.

My favorite Cloti's are the same though. I've also got a huge soft spot for Cloti family. I only wish that Barret was included more, as Marlene's father. Poor man gets no love.

It's less about preference and more about mood. idk. ZackxAerith is probably my favorite couple presented in game and I'm not hugely fond of their fanart. They have some nice ones though.
