The problem with Clefiroth is that Cloud Does Not Like Sephiroth.

Then again Cloti vs. Clerith is pretty much a debate between whether you prefer rational analysis or trying to fit the Compilation to your preferred fairytale model, so I guess it's not any better. The only reason it's more entertaining is that one pairing clearly actually is canon.
