It's interesting that some of the L/Z pairs that are drawn most often are the ones where the game features an alternate option.
OoT L/Z plus Ruto or Malon.
TP L/Z plus Midna and what's her generic (Who, sadly, I think is supposed to be the 'canon' choice, for all her utter blandness)
And Spirits Tracks L/Z. The other in that is the train. Or Zelda in the armor. Either works.

Seriously, though, where's the love for Link's Adventure, Four Swords/FSA, and the animated cartoon?

On a serious note, I always saw OoT as one of the few Zelda games that actually does make Zelink official. Even the manga does it. :\

Interesting that Link looks so goddamn much the same but ZELDA looks amazingly different in comparison to TP.

To each their own, I suppose. The only thing canon in MM is Kafei and Anju. And possibly Link and Skull Kid. Although I'm sure getting his face in between a hot ginger's boobies is a once in a lifetime experience for innocent lil Link.

I think TP had a more one-sided Zelink in comparison to the other Zelda games. On Zelda's part, of course. But really, that could just be fan shipper bias.

Really? I think it looks an awful lot like Zelda from TP but with much brighter blonde hair. Probably because TP had a darker undertone to it, so thus, Zelda was more broody and srs. Like a brunette.

But this game seems a bit more happy, cheery, lovey dovey. Especially since this Zelda is definitely hinted at being Link's potential love interest. So they made her hair a lot brighter and colorful.

I quite like Link's TP appearance so, I'm not complaining. Although his OoT version is probably my fave while Zelda's TP appearance, in my opinion, is the prettiest rendition of her yet.

That's part of why it's so different- they've only softened her features and lightened her hair, but the effect is dramatic as opposed to the change to link, who had the same alterations.

I definitely prefer TP Zelda's design. I'm not sure why; I liked blonde Zelda in OoT, just not here. Though, it's nice to see that Link is wearing pants now, instead of leggings.

I kinda liked her srs princess style, tho. It was a different version of her. I liked seeing her tough because really, besides Tetra, Zelda is always made out to be the pansy princess. 'Cept maybe in OoT when she goes all Sheik and shit.

I like Zelda's new look -- I think it's just sort of a shock cause we're so used to her looking more regal (even her child forms) and now she looks more like the girl next door. But I still think she's quite pretty.

Yeah I think without her crown her forehead might've looked too weird or too huge. Her bangs are cute!

I'm glad they're giving us Link and Zelda as childhood friends again, without them being as super young as they were in the DS games. This is a nice balance.

There is one for both. Zelda doesn't feature much in them, but IIRC, Link does get a bit of a crush on her after meeting her at the end of the first of the two (Seasons, again IIRC.)
