You need to speak to the OIC Officer of Arms - they're in the Grand Company, I think you can do it with any grand company but if it doesn't work from yours we're registered with The Maelstrom (The Aftcastle Aetheryte in Limsa Lominsa). The crest is tiny but it looks good on armour 
. You can add it to the chest and helmet stuff.
So I'm going to be out on boats for a week - I won't be on again til next weekend after today. I've bought enough company actions to last that long, SOLDIER 1sts are able to execute actions by going into "Actions" under "Free Company" in the menu.

I want to bring this to attention.
There have been a few concerns from non-forum members of the Company, mainly asking if there's an overall plan in the making and the activity of members. Do we have any policies at all in place for these two?
I was talking to quite a few people before and trying to encourage them to join up / post on the site. Because really, they do want the Company to work and go far. But there's obviously no pressure for them to join, just to get active here and see what's going on.
So, what's what then? I obviously couldn't answer any questions people had, only just say I'd raise the discussion up in here.

What's the chat about the activity of members? Is this people asking for a "you must be active a certain number of nights a week" thing? Because that's 100% not going to happen, we're a casual, social free company. If people are complaining that I haven't been on that's fair enough, remind them that moving and having things to do constantly really impact your ability to play

EDIT: If there are a group of people who think the company should take a more serious direction we can take a look at that too, but I am dead against forcing people to play for a certain amount of time per week. That makes it feel like a chore to me.

Yeah, that was the vibe I was getting, anyway. I had a few members (who are no longer part of the Company now) sending me tells about this. I said the same thing over and over: activity shouldn't be an issue. People have lives at the end of the day. They work, they go out into the world, they socialise and they come on whenever they want to.What's the chat about the activity of members? Neither do I to a certain extent. I'm sure it's meant by what direction we're going in. For instance, are we going on raids? Do we have a specific purpose? Also, I'm going to be actively advertising pretty soon just to get the word out there. What sort of description should I go for in regards to the kind of Company we are?

The Lifestream is a casual friendly free company, etc. I've written a few of them and so has satsu, which is why I'm a little confused about the members complaining about activity and stuff. Everyone who has joined has done so knowing we never set out to be hardcore etc.
I see it more like a social group where we can help each other out, material and game wise. Yeah we'll start doing instanced raids and stuff too (eventually).

I also encouraged said former concerned members to join the forums and get involved, but it didn't appeal to them. I never pressurise anyone to get on here, but there's a better chance of any worries being seen here than on the Company chat.
