I've been doing way too much sleeping lately. And while this really only tells me what I've known for weeks (that I'm suffering from depression), it's rather annoying to sleep through multiple phone calls from people I want to talk to, or missing out on things.

As for thread: My dad constantly trying to give me advice I don't want or don't need. Sure, he's trying to help. Great. But he'll give me advice I already told him I was going to do last time we spoke.

I am really wanting to play a tabletop RPG for the first time in my life, but I have no friends irl to play it with and I don't think any of my online friends would be interested even if I found a way to play it long distance-like. Petty as that sounds compared to some of the stuff up there ^ it does piss me off. Especially since when I first heard about it I had friends who would play with me, but by the time it got out of development they'd all disappeared out of my life.

I actually had a problem like this several years ago, so it's not really that difficult to empathise with. I never actually wound up playing the game and lost interest in it.

Still seems petty to me compared to suicidal relatives and deep lonely depression and so on (you guys all have my sympathy even if I forgot to type such in last post, and I hope all improves for you!). But yeah, I dunno if anyone here even reads The Dresden Files, which is the series this game is set in. And aside from a few folks from elsewhere, pretty much all my friends are here

It is, but the thrad doesn't say the annoyances listed have to be major. Actually I'd say a majority of the ones listed have been pretty minor. Just go back to the first page; nearly all of them are trivial.

Oh I know. It might just be my present mood that's bringing it to mind more often than is the norm. But yeah, I really wish I had someone to play this with, I'd learn to GM if I had to just to be a part of this game.

Ah, nah, they don't do that. It's not like they withold food from us (if there's a dinner chow time while you're on guard duty, they more or less have to let you be relieved to eat), but my duty took place after the dinner times for the cafeteria, so I had to work the whole shift, and of course you always have the option of feeding yourself (you don't have to eat when the cafeteria is open, or ever eat from the cafeteria at all, but its free), but I didn't get any food because I was more or less too tired and needed to go to sleep.
