More on-topic, it would be nice if people on the left would stop pretending that Obama secretly supports their agenda and has just been restricted from doing so by a ridiculous Congress. There's more than enough evidence to indicate that this is not the case; for instance, he didn't even try to fight for a public option, or a Medicare buy-in, or government negotiation of drug prices, or any of a number of other programs well-liked the left and enjoying wide public support.
