@QUEX: like Keen and Brooke have said, you can't base anything on when they said they'd ring you back. I was told once that they'd get back to me the following week... only to have a call two days later, asking when I wanted to start.

OT: getting called away from something I'm doing by my supervisor (she's not the boss of me, and she doesn't manage anything), to have a five minute chat about how important one particular task is, and I shouldn't let it get behind, and should get on it immediately.
Congrats, this is at least the second time you've called me away from a job to tell me how important that job is, and that I should be doing it.
You know why I hang out here, even on those occasions when no one seems to have much of anything to say? Because people around here are awesome. When we can't sleep no matter how we try, when our employment is hell on earth or disappears entirely, when we're lonely, belittled, enraged, we can say something in this thread and odds are someone will offer a kind word. Even if their own life is trying to feed them a soggy shit sandwich, someone here will speak up for us. I love you guys (in a totally platonic/hetero... ok mostly hetero way).
