Bought pre-owned version of Heavy Rain: Move Edition from Gamestation, only to get it home and see the disk doesn't say "Move Edition". I thought maybe that's normal (then again it doesn't say Platinum either, despite the case saying that). After messing around (like not letting it install the update which adds Move support to the original version anyway), I'm pretty sure this really isn't the Move one. Not that I care that much about the Move support (since I could get that anyway), but I picked this one over the original version--which was right there next to it if I wanted to buy that--for the other extra content. So I'm assuming the woman picked out the disk for that copy of the original version.

But the extra scene seems to be there, I can download the making of videos off PSN when that ever gets back online or somewhere else and probably the soundtrack too, the only thing missing would be the XMB themes which I'm possibly not too bothered about. Now I have to decide within 10 days if I'll take it back to get it traded for the correct one out of principal, or just make do.

^ Loved that game. Played it without move and still love it. :D

Thing that pisses me off: Being broke. Especially when a ton of video games I want are coming out nao.

Oh, and the fact that I want more clothes since the weather is finally being tolerable.

Yeah, being broke pisses me the hell off. -_-

Deadpool comics have been sucking lately.

Not sure if it's worth it to continue buying them.

This makes me sad.
Best 'Pool story I read recently was the Joe Kelly penned story in Amazing Spiderman #611, This Man, This [Expletive Deleted]. ...Wait, that was released 2009. O.o Time flies.

And Dacon mentioning X-Force moves me to say how satisfied I am that Rahne's back with her real writerdaddy, Peter David. I know she's been back there a while, but still.

Unfortunately, not necessarily. One of my local trade-in places will put out the cases for enhanced versions of games (and DVDs) even if they only have the standard version. Bringing it up with them only gets apathetic shrugs. To paraphrase Good Omens, you should consider yourself lucky they're accepting your money.

OT: I think I've got some sort of virus. =/ Exhibit A: sleeping a straight 10+ hours Saturday/Sunday. Exhibit B: being unable to sleep Sunday/Monday due to unusually strong backache. Exhibit C: Monday evening, I have a sneezing fit and have a twinge in both my chest and my wrist (as an aside: about 30mins before I'd been watching Death Note. First thought about chest twinge? "Oh God, heart attack"). Since then, my wrist has been constantly aching.

And the clincher, Exhibit D: while at work Tuesday, I kept feeling feverish, getting a headache that felt like the onset of a migraine, and a couple of times it got to the point where, like Tiffany from the Discworld books, I was Aching all over. Ha ha ha ow.

Been feeling much the same today, too, along with another couple of chest twinges.

Also, totally giving up trying to thank posts during the week. Just isn't happening, and I'm driving myself insane trying.

1. See my previous post.

2. Sending broken e-book reader in the mail and it in all likelyhood getting lost or something.

3. Decent chance of store finding out I dropped it instead of it being DOA like I reported it to be, not giving me my money back, me getting banned from the (online) store, and wasting €150 in a span of one day.

Damn thunderstorm. It's scaring the crap out of my dog and I'm going to have to leave for work in about half an hour. I don't want to leave him alone just on principle. :( Also it's going to make me nervous about getting a shower, but I can't not shower before work.

- In regards to team work mentioned earlier, now people are just acting unilaterally. Their theme song should be "America, Fuck Yeah."

I cannot even deal with people's bullshit lately.

  • Sports fans, or at least the ones who brows our store, because they may be the messiest assholes in the entire store with the possible exception of people who browse art, crafts, and cooking. Yesterday I zoned several bays of the sports section. As of closing time tonight, it already looks like it was last zoned at least a month ago. I'm sure at least part of this is because the section is in the front of the store, but some of it has to be people being assholes as well.
  • Similarly, the travel section was zoned less than a week ago, but it already looks like complete shit. Languages, a section which was zoned along with it, still looks passable at least.
  • The store in general was in such atrocious shape that I took all freaking night to put away eleven and a half shelves' worth of books. Most of this was because I was straightening as I was putting books away, and there was more stuff to straighten than there was to shelve. I do not think it would be an exaggeration to say that customers have been consistently leaving us with more crap to deal with every day since Borders closed. I also had to cover music breaks, although that wasn't that big a deal; I've come to like it back there. Most of the time. Except when someone gives me a damn question I have no idea how to answer.
  • Speaking of which, having an item show up as being in stock and not being able to find the damn thing. There are about five or six different places for musical performance DVDs to show up. I looked in all of them. There were supposed to be two copies of this damn DVD. I could find neither of them. There's another lost sale. The customer was kind of pissy about it too. Lady, it's not my fault that people are fucking slobs and constantly leave shit in the wrong places, ok?
  • One of our head receivers moved to Seattle, and it has shown ever since he moved away. Most of the people working in receiving don't seem to have any idea what they're doing yet. Books are miscategorised all the time; additionally, books that are on a store promotional list are supposed to go on different carts but I find them on my cart all the time. Additionally, books in similar parts of the store are supposed to be grouped together. This never, ever happens anymore, which results in my shelving speed being cut even further due to my having to visit the same part of the store multiple times.
  • One of my co-workers shut off the lights to receiving while I was still in the fucking section. I don't think she had any idea I was still in there. I was pretty damn scared I was going to trip over something on the way out, because I had no idea what was in front of me. It's pitch black in there with the lights out. The lights in there aren't even supposed to be turned off anyway; they're also controlled by a master switch that the managers turn off when everyone leaves.
Just a shitty day in pretty much every way possible. The only plus was that I chose nearly all the music that got played tonight and so nothing that really pisses me off got played.

Hm...something that pisses me off on a daily basis...it'll have to be traffic.

I'm one of those nice people that lets people cut in front of me every once in a blue moon...It pisses me off when I let someone in and then they drive r.e.a.l.l.y slow. -_-

I have a decent commute though, so I'm never on the road long enough to get road rage. XD It never takes longer than an hour or so to get to work or back, so I'm thankful. <3

I don't get the logic behind people ordering a pizza and then leaving for like 30 minutes. I mean... yeah I was early, but I waited 10 minutes for this guy to show up at his hotel room and nothing. Fortunately this time it wasn't a total loss, another guy in the building bought it off of me AND gave me a tip. Still sucks that I wasted so much time at the hotel though. I mean really, why order a pizza if you aren't going to be there when it's delivered?

I should probably stop running my desktop for so long without ever shutting it down or rebooting it. It had apparently been running for almost a month with no reboot, and I couldn't get it to shut down properly. Even holding down the power switch wouldn't shut it off; I had to disconnect the power cord, which I'm sure can't be good for it. I think I'm going to leave it off overnight. This means I probably won't be on IRC tonight but really, I should be going to bed pretty soon anyway.
