I do agree the difference between a headshot and a shot somewhere else is given way too much damage. As if these super soldiers aren't going to have really fantastic helmet armour because HERP DERP THEY CAN JUST SHOOT US IN THE HEAD AND WE DEAD

That shit is annoying yes, but this is less about fantasy shooters like Halo or Crysis where I can tolerate that crap, and more about stuff like battlefield.

IN ADDITION TO THIS I AM NOW GETTING CONFUSING EMAILS FROM MY PROF
Dear Class,
As most of you know, I made a rather unusual offer at the end of class today with respect to the exam for History 418. In the spirit of the 1960s, I suggested that if you were able to organize as a collective to agree all together not to take the exam, I would honour your agreement and determine your mark on the basis of your work to date.
I stand by this offer. However, I am concerned that some of you may want to take the exam for very good and understandable reasons. It is important to me that no one feel penalized, pressured, or uncomfortable. I suggest, therefore, that anyone who wants to take the exam can operate under the rules of conscientious objection. If you want to take the exam, bring a note with you expressing your awareness of any collective action taking place, and your considered decision to take the exam none-the-less. This is an honourable position to be respected by all.
It may be that those of you organizing not to take the exam want to arrange something similar, if in reverse, in order to make sure that all (and everyone) is in place, but it’s now in your hands!
If you have any questions, please let me know. I am happy to discuss any of this.

3. Does this make the final exam optional? As in, if we feel the need to add to our grade we take it, otherwise we go by our assignments without penalty? How would the division of assignments work? I think the final is worth something like 30% or so. I'm a little confused how even the "conscientious objection" would work, let alone a full out walk-out of the exam.
THE FINAL EXAM IS OPTIONAL, IF YOU ORGANIZE YOURSELVES. IT IS NOT OPTIONAL OTHERWISE.
THE EXAM IS WORTH 25% OF YOUR FINAL MARK. IF YOU DECIDE AS A COLLECTIVE NOT TO SIT THE EXAM, YOUR MARK WILL BE DETERMINED BASED ON THE WORK YOU HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED. THE PROPORTIONS WILL REMAIN THE SAME, BUT BE CALCULATED AS IF 75% EQUALED 100%.
I HAVE DESCRIBED THE PROCESS FOR BEING A CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR ABOVE. HOW YOU FACILITATE A WALK OUT (OR SIT IN?) IS UP TO YOU.
