Well ideally so it arrives before Xmas. International shipping could take like 10 days in some cases but I'd just say send it off by 20-12-16.

Packages that arrive a little later than Christmas aren't a big deal, I should think. :monster:

Probably better I start a fresh post for a wee list of a few relevant interests.

Anything Nanaki-related and you can be sure I'll be praising you for years to come.
I'm also a sucker for the likes of Kimahri, and from Digimon: WereGarurumon, Leomon - oh, and Archer from Small Soldiers :monster:
(Urgh, what's wrong with me? Haha!)

FF: VII, VIII, IX, X, XII
Zelda: Twilight Princess (especially), Majora's Mask

- Vegetarian Sweets:
Jellies, bonbons, etc. - they're hard enough to come by here, especially familiar classics (but the hard-boiled ones aren't anything special in comparison)

- Recently fell in love with Zootropolis & Zelda: Twilight Princess

- I play keyboard and ocarina (if that helps to know in some way)

Only thing I would avoid with me is any kind of mug version of anything relevant above - I drink neither tea nor coffee. Do not worry I will ban myself, I'll ban myself.

Hope this helps!

And whoever gets me, know that I appreciate anything, and your present alone will likely increase my number of presents I'll get this year by about 25-33% :monster: So thank you in advance!

I think this gif (thanks Joe!) is apt for how I'm feeling right now:

Does anyone know - hypothetically speaking off course - if you order stuff from an online shop in a country that isn't your country can you get it delivered to the person direct? Y'know instead of having to pay shipping twice and wait ages? Is that a thing?

Sure you can. Most online shops allow separate billing and delivery addresses. I used to do it on Amazon to send my UK-based parents Christmas presents. Nowadays I'm a stingy git who doesn't buy anyone presents unless I absolutely have to. :P (In return I discourage everyone from buying me anything. You may have noticed I'm not taking part in this.)

^You should be able too. On Amazon anyway you can have a different shipping address from your billing address.

I'm in a quandry, I found a thing I think is pretty cool, but like part of it is glass and I'm wondering if it's foolhardy to expect it to arrive in once piece as it's going internationally. I mean I know the seller will mark it fragile but......I don't wanna send my secret santee a pile of broken glass. :closedmonster:

Just wrap it snugly, add at least an inch or two of those air pocket thingies (I always save them when I get it), and put something on the inside too. Should be fine.

^Yeah what he said. I also personally think it's nicer for especially fragile objects to have a bit of space too in the package. Like if you mail off a mug for instance, stuff the inside, wrap the outside, then line the box innards with bubble wrap and whatnot, but maybe leave a bit of flex room for the mug to jiggle a bit in the box. Or just don't pack it tightly.

I hope my secret santa isn't floundering for gift ideas; I promise I'll poast my likes soon, it's just been a busy weekend for me with my grandparents here. :aah:

EDIT:

My likes:

FFVII, FFXII

Marvel (Captain America, Black Widow)

Disney (Belle is my favorite, but I'm a HYOOJ Disney princess fan)

Game of Thrones (unabashed House Lannister fan, though I do love the Starks just as much)

I would link some super cool and cheap thingymabobs I've been eyeing if I didn't thick it was an utterly tacky thing to do. :monster: If you hang out on Skype we usually poast a lot of cool FF shit we find, so there are ideas aplenty there.

I will ask to please not buy any calendars (if you can help it). I already have two for next year. :(

And unlike Octo, I absolutely love Funko Pops. :wacky:

I found the perfect thing for my person but I am unsure if I should place the order. I'm afraid it wouldn't arrive in time.

I found the perfect thing for my person but I am unsure if I should place the order. I'm afraid it wouldn't arrive in time.

This reminds me of a parable my father once told me:

A man was driving home when he lost his way in a fog and found himself on an alien stretch of highway. The road weaved through a narrow mountain path for what seemed like a hundred miles. As the man was getting ready to try and turn around he suddenly saw a massive cobra in the middle of the road hopping up and down furiously. He slammed on his brakes and barely avoided hitting the poor thing.

"It's a good thing you stopped!" Said the cobra. "My name is Nate. Nate the Snake. And I'm the guardian of the Almighty Reset Lever."

"Hi... Nate," the man said wondering if he should bother calling the doctor to refill his prescription or begrudgingly return to church the next sunday and admit that they were right about him eventually coming back. "And.. what's that Almighty Reset Lever?"

The cobra gestured towards a massive pull switch in the middle of the road.

"That lever over there. I'm tasked with protecting it. You see if the switch gets thrown then the world will end."

"End?"

"Bang, boom, explosions, dogs and cats living together end."

"What is it doing in the middle of a road then?"

"You ask too many questions," Nate said dismissively in that way that only characters in a joke can be and still be forgiven. "Just head back down that other road there and you'll be home."

And so the man did as he was bade and wound up home. However the following night he found himself on the same highway. He was understandably nervous and was keeping his eyes peeled. Suddenly he hit a patch of ice on the road and began to skid!

Everything happened at once- he saw poor old Nate the snake hopping furiously towards the fork in the road the man had gone down the previous night trying to get him to turn, but this meant the switch was wide open. The man had to either swerve hard left or hard right and in the end - remembering the snake's words - he swung to the left. He flattened and killed poor old Nate the snake, but the world was saved.

The moral of the story? Better Nate than lever.
