I did not see this film. As many of your will remember, the last one drained my soul from my body for several days, so I consciously opted out of seeing it. He was right on basically everything. Aside from one or two minor things (which are less than what he suggested)

I won't go into too much detail, since everyone seems pretty opinionated about Bayformers, but I will just say that I fucking loved this film and redeemed me from that god awful 4th movie.

Also I don't think I've ever heard Anthony Hopkins swear that much in a film and it was freakin awesome.

Well I went I went to the theater I knew exactly what I was gonna be getting. I don't have high expectations with Bay movies (although 13 Hours was fucking amazing), and I'm ok with that. I just didn't want a shitty human subplot like we had with the last film, and I got my wish.

I haven't seen the film prior to this in order to compare, but they dropped the ball quite a bit with the storyline and development of Izabella and her bot. Cade and Vivian was boring and predictable. And that leaves just Hopkins, which, yeah was great to see him go act out like that, but it wasn't enough to carry the entire human portion of the film.

But again, I can't compare it to the previous film. Maybe it really is miles better.

Look, it's my opinion alright? While I will admit I didn't see the point of the Izabella plotline either, it was still miles better than the underage daughter bullshit in the 4th film where they literally stopped the fucking plot for 5 minutes to explain why an underage girl and an overage man should be allowed to fuck. I take what I can get.

In comparison to the other human subplots of previous films... I still feel like this one was better.

It's miles better in the fact that it's not there, but they didn't really replace it with anything of substance. The human subplot is just the main plot now.

I haven't seen the previous one yet, but I'm willing to give this one a try. Probably going to watch both at the same time at some point.
