Well actually I did hear that the writers were keen on having Unicron in the 3rd movie, and about Galvatron I remember reading at some point that there was ideas of having Megatron be Galvatron in RotF but scrapped it cause it would be too confusing for the audience (aka ignorant masses who dont know anything about TF), and as for Ultra Magnus....he can't deal with that right now

Okay, I can finally comment! I know, you've all been waiting... 
Seriously - I saw the movie tonight.
I liked it. That comes with a condition. I liked it as I liked the first one. It had intense action; kept me in suspense.
Still, some points bug me: no plot, for example. Even the characters spoke about plot. They didn't even get an answer.
Though, overall, I liked that some familiar names were there: Wheelie, for example. Though they killed his character. I excuse it as being he hit puberty.
Arcee was interesting - three in one. I wonder if those three were salutes to Chromia, Firestar and MoonRacer. Similar color schemes in the three Arcees to those three from one cartoon.
They brought Scorponock (however his name is spelled) back.
Ravage was pretty neat!
Soundwave has taken over Shockwave's duty? Perhaps they blended them?
Optimus Prime, resurrected for the seventh time (or around about that number)! Honestly. Still, neat. Megatron was ressurected for the first time! I wonder how many times he'll be back now?
Okay - this Fallen guy... I get the gist of him, but - I am still unsure how well the cartoon can mix with the comic... Eh, so far, okay, but... Eh. I just liked the G1 cartoon version of things better - gave some mystery as well as detracted from the usual religious/spiritual thing... I am glad they didn't forget about the Matrix of Leadership.
They totally forgot Rodimus Prime?! Optimus cannot be the last decendant of the Primes, because next comes Rodimus (Hot Rod)! Ugh!
Action wise: a good movie; plot wise: no movie. And it was long. Almost three hours. I didn't expect that, but it wasn't an unpleasant surprise.
Eh - three out of five stars. Probably, and mainly, 'cause I like the Transformers from the G1 era. A keeper for a die-hard fan.

I wasnt complaining here since G1 wheelie always bugged me.
Its been confirmed that the Pink one is called Arcee, and blue one is Chromia and the Purple one isn't confirmed yet but the current rumor is she's called Moonracer (We'll know once they toy comes out)
I'd say it more like having a suiting role for soundwave and keeping him away from battle protects him from being killed off, cause personaly I'd like to see Shockwave show up for TF3, tho just as long as he's not constantly fawing over megatron like in G1, I'd prefer a personality more like either the TFA version who's loyal but still badass or the comic one that does purely whatever's most logical.

Yeah the fallen didn't really do much for me either, he was just a throwaway villian who's purpose in the movie could have been fufiled by Megatron.
Which was another wtf thing, why would Megatron bow to this rusted old creep? This is megatron we're talking about, I'm actually remidned of one of his great lines from the '86 movie "I belong to no one!"
Best guess is he was just playing the Fallen and would have got rid of him when there was no more use to him.
ohlol Rodimus. I'd say he has a chance of showing up in the next one, most probably cause Bay will wanna cram even more robots into TF3.

Rodimus was kind of a pansy, imho. No leadership abilities what so ever. Why did Optimus ever choose to put him in charge?
Also that vid is win.
He didn't, he was kinda dead, at least in G1. Once Optimus returns Rodimus hands over the Matrix back no questions asked.

Optimus did not choose Hot Rod, basically the combined knowledge and energy of the life forces of the past leaders did - I guess. They never really say 'who' picked Hot Rod. If he's a 'pansy', it is because of his youth, not because of any weakness.

When you look up "epic" in the dictionary, they have a screencap of that scene. My favorite in the entire movie.
BTW, that scene reminds me why it is exactly that Rodimus/Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus suck.
UM was designed to replace prime - truck, red white and blue. In the comics and with some toys, Ultra Magus is just a repaint of Optimus underneath his armor.
And Rodimus is not only the guy who *did* replace Optimus, but he's the one who got him killed in the first place!
