I think you should all just stfu, getting rid of Cait Sith is a brilliant idea. Now that I think of it, getting rid of every single key character in FFVII sounds even better - their stupidity and unrealism disturbs me to no end.

I say we replace them all with kittens because I like kittens. Plz halp meh?

Fuck the characters, it's the canon we should do away with! Nevermind the love triangle. Cloti? Pah, do away with it. Clerith? Who needs it. Clack? Not in this game.

FFVII Redux is all about CloudxRed XIII, Tifa and Biggs, Aerith and Vincent. Do away with original characters and replace them. In fact, Tifa isn't there anymore. She's been replaced with a hairy bar man because it's much more realistic. Every inconceivable idea ytou thought illogical to fit into a game? THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU

I was watching something the other day which used this 'flunkies' word in a non-literal/genetic copy sense. But in FFVII itself the Copies didn't really fit the literal definition of the word. They're not actual copies of Sephiroth, and if having Jenova cells is another for it to apply then it would include all of SOLDIER.

Maybe they could have picked a better word (although I can't really think of one, at least one that hasn't been brought up already), but as long as the idea gets across I don't think it's as major a point as the other parts which obscure/change the meaning, and it's a shame this thread got derail because of something relatively minor.

Thats right, in agreement. So that means 3-1 OVER RULED.

Since I am asking a number of people and then making a decision based as a group, flunkies is history. Not because I say so, but because the majority says so and I have the final word on it. And WE say bye bye to it. It is wrong.

I wont indulge ignorance. I will be back here when I need help with the translation. If anyone wants to lend their hand to the project then they are free to do so. If they dont then the translation will go based on those who have had input.

Dont be so arrogant as to assume you know more than the other 3 japanese I have spoke to. That isnt good for this project and how we are to progress in making this game better, rather than argue about a rather daft word.
