It's definitely one of those things that would be fine in Japanese, asking/explaining what this simple English word means, but doesn't make sense in English.

It should just be put in Latin or Greek or something instead for the English version It would sound more mysterious without Gast sounding like an idiot who doesn't know where 'north' is.

And mass retranslations of the locations in VII. Nibelheim -> Niflheim, Midgar -> Midgard, Midgar Zolom -> Midgardzorm (I think), Mako -> Makou.

Granted these are minor changes, but they are widely known in the game, it seems... Weird and offputting to see it changed.

Midgar shouldn't be Midgard anyway, it's missing the 'd' even in Japanese (ミッドガ&#12523. Nibelheim clearly has a 'b' and not an 'f' in it (ニブルヘイ&#12512.

Except maybe stuff that's been changed around in newer titles (Shinra Manor/Aerith/etc.), I don't really see much good in changing the names around.

Again, it does sound like a interesting project, but maybe when people have calmed down and all this negativity is gone
