At the moment Im trying to get one done of the FFVII Turks at the beach done but its a looong process, I've got a graphics tab but I wish I could use it for drawing directly. Instead I have to to everything in pencil first and then scan, colour etc etc. Takes friggin ages See Licoriceallsorts visitor messages for details of how its going to be.

Oh and I did not draw the following pics, but I couldnt resist adding them to my collection, don't know who did them originally but kudos to the original artists:

For the Tseng one, to be honest, I just found it... really uncomfortable to look at.

Yeah, Reeve and Tseng should swap clothes. Reeve is used to wearing tunic type things and I want a better look at Tsengs manbits!

Oh and Renos boots. I would wear boots like that if anywhere sold them, amazing! Elena's outfit is making me confused again.

If I had an ounce of literary talent I'd write a massive fanfic which basically takes the Turks and places them in such a futuristic setting. Fuck Cloud and Sephiroth off, who needs em?. Just the Turks in a nightmarish tech noir city that makes Midgar (much as I love it) look like...Kalm!

Its quite clear what is going on in this picture. They're trying to order pizza, Rude has just expressed a dislike for anchovies, much to Elena's chagrin. Reno wants a side order of onion rings and Tseng is losing the will to live.

OK, I think I may have crossed some kind of line here, but this coincidence was too bizarre to let pass without comment.. I was going through google images searching for as yet unsavoured pictures of our Glorious Leader, when this guy's photo came up:

Not only does he win the lookalike contest, but his name is actually Tseng. I hope for his sake that he doesn't often encounter many FFVII fans.

Well, that was a byproduct of my real quest in search of a beautiful line drawing I once saw on deviantart, called, I think, "Turks' Night In", which showed the four of them sitting at a card table, wreathed in smoke. What made it unique was that the scene was drawn from an overhead angle, looking down on them. Anyone know it? I have been looking for it in vain all evening.

I don't know what you mean by 'crossed a line' That guy needs to get a suit and grow his hair and not look so amused! Tseng is never amused! I'm assuming Tseng is his surname right? curiouser and curiouser...

Its very weird though, I have trouble visualising Tseng as an actual human being, its almost as though my brain won't let me, so I can keep him in this special compartment, as if reality would somehow ruin him...crazy. You'd think with all the obsessing I've done over the years I would be able to say what he looks like, but no @_@

Actually I am exactly the same. I spend a lot of time in meetings and suchlike doodling him, but I can never get him right. [Reno and Rude, on the other hand, are easy] For me, the best drawings of him are the more cartoony, sketch-like ones. The closer he gets to photographic reality, the less like himself he looks. For me he's really the sum of all the words I've expended on him. I expect a psychiatrist could have a field day with that.

Thank god I'm not the only one! I actually thought I was mad.

In terms of 'official art' the closest it comes to what is in my mind is his Before Crisis incarnation. Not that he isn't delicious in AC...he's just more delicious in BC....but I still don't know how that could translate to reality.

After careful consideration, I've decided what I like best about allthe compilation (aside from Tseng being alive of course) is that nice bit of hair in front of his ears, which isn't really visible in the original artwork....its just..so...mmm <3 That bit of hair makes all the butchery of the compilation totally worth it!

For me it's the ears themselves. Just take a good look at that ear in my sig, second from the left. But I must say, the neat sideburn sets off the ear really nicely.
