You aren't able to change it by editing the first post? If not then ya, I'd be up for one thread of Warhammer in general.
I just hate what they did to the Vampires. They look too chaosy for my tastes. I liked when they were more socialites in Empire culture, manipulating things... I had a really badass Vampire Lady who had an Empire Lady who she... slept with. XP

I have DoWII, but my gaming PC doesn't have a net connection: so I have no Steam account, so it won't allow me to install it.
Still... 'Nids campaign.
BTW, I'm still trying to see if I can edit the thread title myself, but every time I try to save ANY changes to the first post, vBulletin throws a wobbly.

Last night, I got out Dawn of War: Dark Crusade and discovered a simple pleasure:
Rhino-rushing a Chaos Lord and Chaos Marine squad into the midst of an Imperial Guard base, and turning the Lord into a Daemon Prince, and summoning a Bloodthirster into an Aspiring Champion.

I have to say, I like the new look for Lelith (less S&M, more deadly) and the Warriors (the armour looks more like a corrupted version of the "untainted" Eldar).

I haven't picked up the book yet, but I thought I'd share some of the info surrounding the new Dark Eldar codex that I've read in the latest White Dwarf.
M18
The Port Commorragh
Commorragh is established as a mighty webway port
M18-20
The Twilight Cults
The obsession with decadence and self-indulgence spreads.
Commorragh becomes the epicentre of this infatuation with debauchery.
M30-31
The Exodus
Those Eldar who heed the warnings against the pursuit of excess flee the Eldar empire, seeking to escape the corrupting influence on Commorragh.
(NB - these are the Exodite and Craftworld Eldar.)
M31
The Unification of Terra
The Emperor of Mankind unites the people of Earth, and prepares the Legio Astartes for the Great Crusade.
M31
The Fall
Slaanesh is birthed into existence by the untrammelled (NB - means, "unrestrained", I looked it up =P) perversion of the Eldar. Billions die.
Inside Commorragh, the Noble Houses consolidate their power, indifferent to the suffering of their kin.
M32
The Black Heart
Asdrubael Vect, a slave from the lowest rungs of Commorragh vows to rule the Dark City. He establishes the Kabal of the Black Heart - the first group to openly call themselves Dark Eldar.
M35
The Coup
Asdrubael Vect and his Kabalites make a desperate play for power, shaking the foundations of Dark Eldar society to their roots.
M36
The Kabals Ascendant
The aristocracy of Commorragh is ousted. Vect's Kabalite regime supercedes the old ways. Ambition and ability replace prestige and privilage as the source of power in the Dark City.
Codex author said:
A Dark Eldar within the webway is almost completely immune to the passage of time, except their souls wither with age. This, understandably, causes a great sense of desperation for the only way they can refill the void that grows in their souls is to steep themselves in extreme sensation and terrible evil. Quite literally the agony and suffering of others replenishes them, granting an unholy vitality and vigour.
[...]
This element of drawing power from pain carries over to the rules, and the way that the Dark Eldar play on the tabletop. The Dark Eldar become more formidable the more carnage they unleash.
Whenever a Dark Eldar unit completely destroys an enemy (non-vehicle) unit, they gain a pain counter, granting them additional powers.
The first token grants the Feel No Pain special rule, the second grants Furious Charge, and the third makes them Fearless.
MISC.
Wych Cults are no longer Elites choices, now being found in the Troops section. TBH, this makes sense to me (and was one of the changes I was hoping for), and it also allows players to field a Wych cult army without the need for a separate army list.
Hellions and Reavers are no longer members of the Wych Cults, but different gangs who infest the Dark City.
There will be a new Dark Eldar transport, called the Venom (no concept pics or model shots yet).
I still can't believe it. I was expecting the Dark Eldar to disappear and become a troops choice in Eldar or something (the theory being they come from ONE friggin craft world... you don't get 40k armies out of that)... but anyways. YAY for Dark Eldar players who have been waiting 10+ years while guard have had 4 updates (maybe 5?).

XD You're exaggerating: I don't think the Guard have had that many updates. Space Marines, certainly. But to make a few points from what you said, using the info confirmed in the Codex...
~Commorragh (or, to use its easier to spell alias, the Dark City) is actually a huge city within the webway. It's described in the Codex as being several magnitudes bigger than the biggest Hive City of the Imperium.
~The Dark Eldar still indulge in the pain and pleasure cults that lead to the Fall (and
the birth of Slannesh
).
~The Dark Eldar no longer have the same level of psychic power of their Craftworld kin (there are no psykers in the Dark Eldar army list). However, their technological ability is higher.
~Due to the long gestation period of an Eldar infant, most Dark Eldar children are extracted from the womb at the developmental stage of an embryo. Their development is then "hyperaccelerated". These Dark Eldar are called half-born; there are true-born children, but they are born solely to the most affluent families.
~When the above is coupled with the Haemonculii's ability to
ressurect those Dark Eldar who can afford their services
, the Dark Eldar are more numerous than their Craftworld kin.
~Vect became ruler of the Dark Eldar after setting up his biggest three rivals by goading forces from three Space Marine chapters to assault the Dark City.
A few salient points on the army list itself...
#Kabalite Trueborn are a new elite choice; they're essentially an upgraded Warrior squad (each with the profile of the Warrior squad's champion). The Dracon, a HQ choice in the original codex, are now the champions of the Trueborn.
#There are an elite version of Wyches, too (Hekatrix Bloodbrides); again, each has the profile of a Wych squad's champion.

Re: Guard updates - that may be, but it's still nothing compared to the number of Space Marine updates (usually, trying to nerf them/un-nerf them).
With the Harlequins, their codex entry states that they stand separate to both the Craftworld Eldar and Dark Eldar. If they have any loyalties apart from the Laughing God, it's to the Eldar as a whole. Due to this, they quite often act as intermediaries between the two races of Eldar.
Although, occasionally, the Dark Eldar will go to the aid of their Craftworld kindred of their own accord. You may remember the story of the Iyanden Craftworld, which was invaded by the Tyranids? They eventually triumphed with the assistance with the exiled Prince Yriel and the Pheonix Lord, Mugen Ra, but in the initial stages of the invasion, they assembled the Ghost Warriors: wraithbone constructs containing the spirit stones of dead Eldar. This was an act of desperation, as taking the spirit stones is akin to grave-robbing.
Well, after this, the same Craftworld had the misfortune of stumbling into an Ork Waaagh! To defend their home, they raised more and more Ghost Warriors. But the Orks still had the upper-hand, until at their moment of triumph, a Dark Eldar Kabal and Wych Cult arrived and fought shoulder to shoulder with the Craftworld Eldar. Together, they were able to put the Orks to flight.
The Iyanden Seers asked their Dark kin why they had come to their aid. Apparently, the Dark Eldar found the angst-filled acts of necromancy highly entertaining, and wanted to make sure the practice could continue.
Yes, the Dark Eldar came to the rescue just so they could continue to go "LOL, emo".
I used to play the tabletop game years and years ago, in bluewater shopping centre near where i live. It was great. I was ofcourse on chaos side, as korn berserkers or something, cannot really remember, used to call em porn berserkers.
Me and my mate really didn't understand the rules back then lol, just wanted to win, all of our models were painted so badly aswell.

As the Horus Heresy reached its peak, the Emperor gathered to Himself less than a dozen of the Astartes. These few were the last uncorrupted vestiages of those Legions who had turned to the Ruinous Powers. From these pure souls, the Emperor created a new gene-seed, that they would be His hammer against the fell powers of Chaos.
10,000 years later, the Grey Knights hold true to this command, facing the daemon and their worshippers wherever such benighted beings gather. Though at times they must combat the xenos that infest the galaxy, they remain true to their original mission.
This April sees the release of Codex: Grey Knights.
Personally, I'm a little disappointed, as the new name (in place of Daemonhunters) seems to imply a lack of inquisitors. Still...
"We are the warriors of the Grey Knights, armoured in Faith, shielded by Devotion and armed with Purity of Purpose. But greater even than these, we carry the light of the divine Emperor of Man into the dark places to purge the daemonic wherever it may be found." - Brother-Captain Stern of the Grey Knights, Prior to the Purging of Xoedic Binary 978.M41
Ya I think they are doing away with the 'hunters'... cause you know they never did finish them in the last version. We had deamons, witches... but no alienhunter love? *sadface*
OH GOD MY OLD ARMY PLEASE DON'T SUCK ME IN AGAIN I LIKE MY MONIES GKJFHKGDHKF

I know. That annoyed me too (especially as Hereticus is my least favourite of the Ordos). In hindsight, it's somewhat funny that Daemon- and Witchhunters were called the First and Second Book of the Inquisition, respectively. Still, I can't figure out how they would have handled Alienhunters - Deathwatch don't really fit the idea of a Troops choice (being formed of Veterans from other Space Marine chapters).
And it's totally torpedoed my plans for starting an Imperial Guard army: a ground-pounding (or gropo) Valhallan regiment, moving through a temperate climate (represented by Cadian and Catachan models).
Still, I've come to a decision: I'm going to collect the army in the Tale of Four Gamers style. Excepting the codex itself, I'm going to spend £50 a month to build up the army. Hopefully, by the time September rolls round, I'll have a force of at least 1,500 points. I'm actually going to start in February and March, buying the paints, brushes et al. I'll need. I'll also buy a box of the existing models to test out my planned colour scheme.

The new Orcs and Goblins army book for Warhammer Fantasy Battles has marked the beginning of a new era for army books: from now on, they will be full colour and hardback. As you can imagine, this makes for a bit of a price increase (approx. £6). No word as yet as to whether this applies to 40K codex books, too.

A couple of quick comments about my last post - codexes/codices are remaining as paperbacks for the time being, and my hunch about the next WFB race to be re-released was right.
Well, although the codex isn't out yet, the information in this month's White Dwarf has allowed me to get an insight into the Grey Knights release.
All Grey Knights have the Preferred Enemy (Daemons) special rule. Obviously. There is also a special rule called Psyker Mastery Levels. No doubt this works somewhat similar to how, in the old codex, a Nemesis Force Weapon does different things depending on the seniority of its wielder.
There are now multiple types of Nemesis Force Weapon - the Halberd, the Sword, a matched set of Falchions, and the Warding Stave. The Daemon-hammer is now also counted as a Nemesis Force Weapon.
All Grey Knight squads have at least one psychic power - the most common one is Hammerhand, which boosts the squad's Strength.
Disappointingly, you only get enough parts to make five Grey Knights in power armour in the box. Although I haven't checked, I'm pretty sure that a Codex Space Marine boxset of the same price contains enough for ten battle-brothers. However, there are plenty of options on the kit. The one boxset covers for four unit options:
STRIKE SQUAD - TROOPS: these are the 'basic' Grey Knights in power armour.
INTERCEPTOR SQUAD - FAST ATTACK: returning from the previous codex, Grey Knights with personal teleporters now have distinctive backpacks. In game, they move as jump pack troops, with the option to once a game teleport to any point within 30" without the danger of a Deep Strike mishap OR scattering.
PURGATION SQUAD - HEAVY SUPPORT: work like Devastators in Codex Space Maine armies, but using weapons such as psycannons, incinerators and psilencers. They have the psychic power Astral Aim, which allows them to fire on enemies they can't draw line of sight on.
PURIFIER SQUAD - ELITES: these Grey Knights are so pure of spirit, they have a psychic power that hurts any who come into contact with them.
As with their power armoured brethren, there are enough pieces here to make five Grey Knights in Terminator armour. They also play more than one battlefield role...
TERMINATOR SQUAD - TROOPS: sweet Emperor of Mankind, Terminators as a Troops choice?!
PALADIN SQUAD - ELITES: elite Terminators. Let's say that again. Elite. Terminators. The only confirmed enhancement over the average Terminator is that they have two Wounds, but I expect there will be other stat line bonuses.
This boxset will also probably be your first port of call for making your Grey Knights characters, although at least one example army list uses one of the metal Grey Knights Terminators from the last codex as a Brother-Captain.
No specific releases apart from the special characters. From what I gather, you can still choose between having a Brother-Captain or Grand Master. Brother-Captain Stern from the last codex is also returning. However...
GREY KNIGHTS LIBRARIANS - you can now have a Librarian in your army of psychics. 'Eavy Metal seem to have used a normal Space Marine Librarian in Terminator armour, and painted it in the chapter colours of the Grey Knights.
CASTELLAN CROWE - I wouldn't be surprised to not see Crowe on the tabletops, as he's in power armour. However, Crowe is the head of the Purifier order, meaning with him in your force, Purifiers count as Troops choices. Crowe is said to be immune to the temptations of Chaos, and carries the Blade of Antwyr, a weapon that corrupts any soul but that of a Purifier. Don't know what it does in game terms.
LORD KALDOR DRAIGO - the Supreme Grand Master (read: Chapter Master) of the Grey Knights. He allows you to take Paladins (the elite Terminators) as Troops. He wears Terminator armour, and carries a storm shield and the Titan Sword (S10 - maybe only against daemons - and forces wounded daemons to make a leadership test or be sent screaming into the Warp). It's his destiny to be lost in the Warp, fighting daemons for all eternity.
Grey Knights have access to Rhinos, Land Raiders and Dreadnoughts like most chapters. Whether they have any Rhino variants - Predator, Whirlwind et al. - hasn't been said, but I'm doubtful.
STORMRAVEN GUNSHIP - FAST ATTACK: the 'flying Land Raider' introduced in Codex: Blood Angels. It can carry a squad of power or Terminator armoured Space Marines AND a Dreadnought. Can be equipped with Mindstrike missiles - a "Strength 4 Heavy 1 Blast" that causes a Perils of the Warp test against enemy psykers.
NEMESIS DREADKNIGHT - HEAVY SUPPORT: these are the huge mecha that appeared in the preview images I posted a couple weeks back. These are piloted psychically by the Terminator strapped to their chest. They count as Monstrous Creatures with 4 Wounds, a 2+ armour save, and a 5+ invulnerable save. They also have a psychic power that allows them to "turn off" the Daemonic Gifts of one unit they're in assault with.
I think that's everything...
NO ONE EXPECTS THE IMPERIAL INQUISITION!
Yes, the Grey Knights codex is now the home of Inquisitors and the ne'er-do-wells they associate with. Yes, regardless if they're Malleus or not. (I haven't read the rules yet to see if there's any difference between the Ordos in game.)
INQUISITORS - Inquisitors of all stripes are counted as a HQ choice. No word whether there are separate rules for Inquisitors and Lord Inquisitors.
INQUISITORIAL WARBAND - the hangers-on that accompany Inquisitors are taken as a separate Elites choice. Again, no word whether, say, a Malleus Inquisitor can take a Crusader henchman (Crusaders previously belonging to Codex: Witchhunters). You can however, now take Jokaero Weaponsmiths as members of the warband. If the thought of having a monk-- err, orangutan in your force doesn't sway you, they have digitial weapons that can count as a lascannon, multi-melta or heavy flamer. And you don't have to decide which until you fire it!
ASSASSINS - it seems to only be sanctioned assassins this time around, so you'll have to find other uses for your Death Cult Assassins (Warrior hench(wo)men, perhaps?). No word as to what part of the force selection chart they belong to, but I'm hedging on Elites.

It's a harness, like Ripley's heavy cargo lifter. XD And the Dreadknight can Deep Strike, so imagine it teleporting in behind a Keeper of Secrets in support of some Battle Sisters: "Get away from her, you bitch!"
...I don't recognise that idiom, but I take it you mean Raplh Wiggum "special". If so, how come? :3
