And that's the part that's gonna suck a lot. Skipping random battles, party arranging, etc. Also if we want to pull footage from elsewhere in the recording to match where the conversation goes. All do-able, of course, but a pain in the ass nonetheless. People have entire careers based on that kinda stuff, lol.

Who here can actually record the gameplay footage and stuff of FFVII?

I could, if I can set up my emulator and capturing software like Fraps up. And have some time left, . It would be on high resolution and filtering and stuff though, as that's what emulators have as an advantage over consoles.

As for what to do, I'd recommend focussing on specific scenes or themes or characters in the game. LTD would give the most views right off the bat, especially if it'd confirm our biased and false CloTi preference, . But it'd have to be good.

You need a mic and one of those cables that connects your TV to your computer.

Or an emulator. It's just CD's, after all. That would be much easier.

On OCRemix and whatnot, I know OCRemix does all the hosting and stuff, but if required, we could set up something so it's hosted on our site as well. Hostgator offers unlimited bandwidth and storage, so we'd better use it too . Same goes for videos, although I think it'd be better if we put those up on Youtube - more people that can find us that way.

Same goes for wallpapers. I think I can set up a proper gallery this weekend along with an easy to use submission system of sorts.

Also is VIII available for the PC like VII?

Dude, that's totally neat. If we include up to ten seconds of FFVII soundtrack (or however much it is), it'd fall under fair use too, and we'd be able to use it.

And for the record, my work laptop has a webcam / microphone . Not that I'd make a good commentator (hard to understand voice in Dutch already, except when doing presentations. Besides, I'd scare everyone with my (supposedly) epic voice of justness.

If anything, we should get on skype someday for the lulz of it.

Of course - all images uploaded will be put under scrutiny before we make them available.

We should also write up a takedown policy - if it's copyrighted material and, say, Square disagrees, they can send a formal complaint. This goes just as well for stuff people rip off of DA, which will undoubtedly happen.

Agreed. The opening theme from Dissidia works wonders with it. And the traditional ending music that plays at the start of the credits would be the obvious choice if we have ending credits.

The Prelude does work very well, but if all our stuff is gonna be FF7 themed, maybe we should use a song from FF7? Be it the main theme or FF7's version of the Prelude?

Well, i think as a fan commentary, we'd give our perspectives as fans, following this from the start of production. Trivia, comparisons to the original etc. Even take questions in the forums to discuss, that way we get a little plug for the site half way through.

We should sit down some time and check how this will work over skype, if there's any lag etc. Iron out any issues before doing the commentary. Its probably best if we have 4-5 people talking, that way we're not talking over each other, and less editting. btw it'd be nice to have some female perspective to stop it being a fanboy sausage fest.

Could even have a second commentary if more people want to do one.

For AC it's probably not a problem, but if we do the FF7 one we'd probably wanna plan some stuff out to talk about in advance to avoid dead air. But AC's short enough that that shouldn't be an issue.
